  • Hmmm that topgun is really tempting…

    • Yeah they are pretty good. I was actually surprised on the kickback the thing had. While not as good as the arcades it is the best out of all the home/pc light guns I have used over the years.

The Ultimarc aim trak is supposed to be better except you have to wire that up yourself and costs almost twice as much.

      • Ill defiantly buy one if it works for Resident Evil Chronicles that can be downloaded from the Playstation Network but It says it only works on GCon 2 games so I'm guessing no? :(

        • Yeah probably not.

I think you need the official play station gun or the move for those ones.

You've misspelt 'Accessories' on your webpage.

      Ha so I did.

Thanks for letting me know. Can't believe I didn't notice that but I was in a bit of a rush setting that section up and I probably changed the name of it around 5 times.

  • Glad this is back: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/121989

Very tempted to buy more :L

    • I'm looking to buy these. Is the build quality decent? Eager to hear some responses for the first round. I've got a two year old and so just wanna know if they can survive him (at least for a little bit)

      • Build quality is decent. Not as good as the official super Nintendo controllers back in the day but still good. However these don't cost 50 dollars each so you have to take that into consideration.

I haven't had any of these controllers break but I honestly don't know how they would hold up with a 2 year old prying at them and smashing them around. I don't know if any controller could survive that for a sustained period. If they did manage to break the controller open there would be a few small pieces that could pose a problem to a 2 year old.

There is the feedback from my ebay shop everyone so far has had positive reviews.

          Cool cheers.

I know you've been a very active seller and helpful so I figured I'll throw in my 2 cents: I'm probably going to go with a SNES pair so I can get a mate to play but I would have also been tempted by some form of "nostalgia pack" where you get a NES/SNES/N64 Bundle or like a cartridge/generation pack with a competitor controller + same time nintendo controller e.g. NES + Sega Master system, SNES + Mega drive, N64 + PSOne etc.

          Just an idea.

          Thanks for your help!

        • Thanks I will consider doing something like that in the future. (EDIT Considered and going to put it up)

Actually if you hold up a bit I will put one together now.

Saturn+NES+SNES+N64 does that sound good? The Saturn covers the mega drive as well since it is basically an improved version of the 6 button mega drive controller.

I personally think the N64 controller is probablly the best option here. Any logitech, PS3 or Xbox controller will have the same ergonomically functionality as the SNES controller, but the N64 controller is very unique with it's layout.

Well to play Nintendo 64 games it is hard to use a different kind of controller, those yellow C buttons really mess me up when playing any 64 game. It is just so unique no other controller comes close.

The snes controllers are good for the pre 64 era stuff.

Will the SNES controllers work with OTG cable on a mobile/tablet running SNES emulator (Android)???

    • Really not sure about that. I know they work on Raspberry pi's with a bit of fiddling but I have received no feedback so far on android.

  • Dammit, I just 100% completed Banjo Kazooie last night on the 64. Didn't have the sequel so downloaded the rom. So tempting!

How long are the cables on the N64 controllers? My HTPC sits behind the TV, and couch is another 2-3m from there, so prob need about 5m to be really comfortable… Keen on getting 4 though - nothing beats super smash brothers on n64

    • That game took soooo many hours of my life it's not funny. Well, I spo——-FALCON PUNCH

      • That game was awesome.

I pretty much always played as link in that game. For some reason and I can't remember why the group of friends I had pretty much never changed characters.

    • 1.7 metres I believe.
However they are usb so you could just buy a cheap extension cable for them.

  • Ive got two of those topguns sitting in my draw. Had them at least 5 years.

Recoil was cool but calibration was always a fail, they never shot true.

We'll probably pick up some usb snes controllers from you though.

Are you sure they are the topgun 3 and not an earlier model?

I have used them and they are pretty good if you calibrate them ok and they fire fairly true (or better than any other light gun replacement I have used). I think it has some issues if you are too close though.

However the best of the best is the aimtrak but that costs around twice as much and requires soldering skills to get recoil working.

      • Entirely possible they are an earlier model. Will have to check.

        • They are the Topgun 2 I think.

  • All my emulation is done on a GPX Cannoo(handheld gaming device, I paid about $100 for it but it is perfect for SNES and Megadrive emulation, which are the two consoles of my childhood) so I have no need for any of your products but I like your enthusiasm and unique products so +1 for the rep.

    • I actually have a Pandora myself and the dpad on the device is just amazing. However if you want to sit back and play on the tv that's where the USB controllers rock. I plug the controllers I have into the Pandora use the tv out and play on the TV sometimes. This especially holds true with the n64 as I just haven't been able to play games with a different controller without huge amounts of frustration.

  • I'd be all over this if it were the Sega saturn ones (or if the sega ones had a deal of some sort).

Got my emulator working, and need those A,B,C X,Y,Z buttons :(
