      We haven't come across this situation yet with these units but from previous installations we had to use an extra module to keep them active.

      Yes, it will cost $345 for the parts and sensor display as well as climate control display on the Pioneer unit.

      Well it is a funny story, not unusual as it seems to happen quiet often around here.

      She walked into the shop where we had an Audi R8 on display, she wanted a Navigation unit for her VW Golf GTI.

      We proceeded to show her the Pioneer AVIC-F9310BT for $1999 rrp, she was amazed at such an amazing product was in existence, that she started to get dizzy.

      We revealed the special we have on this particular unit and that was more than enough, out like a light next to the car.

      As she woke up, we were able to get the shot in mention, offered a discount on installation and bam, we have the perfect 'masthead' image you see today.

    Is this a good upgrade over the VW RCD-510 unit? How does it compare to the RNS-510? and, will I retain all steering wheel controls without the need for a separate module?

    I have a MkVI GTI with RCD-510 and dealer-fitted bluetooth option.

      Cant comment on the factory fitted units from VW as from what i've seen they work very well but we love aftermarket.

      The module is extra, it's an extra $115

        OK, if the vehicle is a 2005 VW and newer, excluding the Golf 7 or 2013 and newer beetle (Amarok hasn't been tested yet) if the car is fitted with factory display for sensors and climate control, the canbus module with steering wheel control patch lead, antenna adaptor is $345 complete. It will retain display of factory sensors and climate display on to the Pioneer unit.

        If you are just wanting to retain just the steering wheel controls and nothing else, the module with patch lead is $115, if your vehicle is fitted with a factory amplifier and you want to retain this, it's $269.

    Cost of installation including the parking sensor module if it is needed.
    The car is a Tiguan and is located in Wollongong.
    I assume that the steering volume functions work as well as the blue tooth buttons.

          86 has a 2DIN size stereo, you can take anything off the shelf and it will fit well

          As above, but keep in mind the 86 runs Toyota's unique 200mm wide double DIN size, whereas aftermarket double-DIN is 180mm wide.

      We can do the AVH-X3500DAB with Cam for $347.60 posted (only valid till 31.12.2013, you will need a fascia and steering wheel control module with patch lead (if you want them to work) if your system isn't bose amplified, the pack will cost an extra $372, if it has the bose audio system, the pack is $407.

      Correct, i did a quick google search and it looks different, the fascia would bring it down to atsandard fitment, not a VW fitment.
