Happy with our WF1752WPC - it's running right now (and too lazy to chase after it).
Got ours for ~$340 at Radio Rentals with $200 Samsung cashback & $100 Radio Rentals trade-in (& free delivery, installation and removal of the old clunker).

  • "2.5 star energy rating….." no thanks
plastic hinge on the door also

    • +9

according to the appliancesonline website, this samsung uses 220kw/y.
      That's $57 (@26c/kwh)

The cheapest 5star rated front loader (also 7kg) uses 180kw/y
      That's $47.

It would take 72 years to get my money back on that one.

Anyway, that samsung rating probably accounts for its 90 degree temp setting
Using only cold water it costs about $40 a year to run.

        Nice comparison :)

  • gee, save yourself $50 and do the installation yourself. undo a couple of shipping bolts, connect up the hoses, level it up and plug it in!

I bought the same machine the other day, same place, same price delivered (i installed myself).
Happy with it so far.. very quiet and fits heaps in.

wish i got that cashback deal, and i would have waited for another one but i was down to my last pair of jocks (I was yet to turn them inside out, back-to-front though)

  • Anyone know what the differences between the wf8750lsw1 and the WF1752WPC are?
I would have thought the higher model number was newer/better but doesn't look like it in this case?

    Cheers

WF1752WPC is bigger, faster, pricier, efficient-ier…. and bubble wash provides hours of entertainment.
Plus the chrome door & wide LED display.

      • I like the part: "….and bubble wash provides hours of entertainment"

  • Looks like Masters is selling it for $448 as well

Got mine from TGG yesterday for $419 + $2 delivery. They price matched The Electric Discounter but with much cheaper delivery. Receipt

    • +1

wow.. cheers!! I bought the day before the pricedrop, so this may mean I get a refund of $58.80.
      I owe you several beers.

    • lucky for QLDer

    • They price matched

They were useless when I contacted them last month for a Price Match.

I wanted to bang my head against the wall. I ordered from TGG and got next day delivery for $2.

      • I think TGG have 120% price difference guarantee….

        • I went with a different model. They wouldn't price match HardlyNormals and I don't buy from HardlyNormals.

  • How does it compare to Aldi machine?
    $499.

    • Aldi machine have 3 years warranty, and this one is 2 years

Aldi doesn't deliver & install, even if you willing to pay extra
this one does deliver, and some shops(like GoodGuys/HN) install it for you(might cost extra depend on your bargain skills in shop) and also take away your old machine.

  • Do the clothes come out pretty dry (not soaked) after the 29min wash / spin with this model?.

    • +1

you should be able to change the settings on it, such as the spinning speed
it might add 2~3mins on top depend on what you set

Most of them you can (we currently have a front loader be it 15 years old), it was a question to an owner dripping or not.

  • my Samsung 8kg front load washing machine broke after about 4 years(Oct/2009 to Dec/2013)
was bought on 2009 with ozbargain deal here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/15246

did a search and it should be the Drum Support or Spider which get corrosion
(the whole drum just went off and now it's loose, probably cost $300~$400 to repair)
kinda disappointed….thought front loader would last longer, maybe Samsung use cheap parts?

    • +1

read here for what I meant "thought front loader would last longer"
surprisingly lots of people gave bad review, most of the washer went faulty after 2 years..(after manufacture warranty)

      http://www.productreview.com.au/p/samsung-wf8802rpf-wf8802rs…

if you guys insist on buying this brand, try to ask for extra warranty, it MIGHT help!
I spent today's afternoon researching on how to repair my faulty washer,
only find it requires like 3 hours+ work & parts = more than $300 if asking a repair guy/technician to fix it.

  • consider updating title to indicate that theelectricdiscounter now offer this for $419.
    (however, delivery/install not included)

Bought this exact model for $420 (after cash back) over a year ago - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/76869

Really happy with it. Washes well, fits heaps in, and spin dries the clothes nicely so they dry quickly on the line.

Oh, if you only use cold water to wash, this thing is very economical on power.

What else would you want in a washing machine? Great bang for buck!

  • Ordered one yesterday, was a good deal, being delivered in an hour, all I got for Xmas was a new iPad !.

  • The good woman is mighty impressed with her new Sammy front load washer, its fast, quiet and rinses everything so well. Now having one twice the size of the old is a big plus too. Must say the service from our local Good Guys Cairns was 1st rate, called and gave us plenty of notice on delivery hour, arrived on time, set it up, took away the carton and old washer.

    Hi,

Saw the post for the The Electric Discounter on sale @ $419.

Took it to Masters and they priced match!

    $371.10

I did the trick of ringing the store first to see if they had stock, then just went in store and asked for one. Shop guy brought it out and then I asked if they do price match as he was starting to enter it into computer.

For those with SUV's/4WD's it will easily fit into back of car with back seats down. Is pretty heavy but two strong people can lift. Install easy, took 5 minutes.
