  • Highly recomend, I have 10+ sets of headphones and 15+ sets of IEM's and these are my favourite.
Not without their flaws including a hiss when the noise cancelling is on, use batteries, etc, but awesome sound (low end goes very low and is powerful). Great for <$100.

    • Brainwavz HM5 or this would you recommend? Mainly with classical with a bit of trance.

      Thanks

  • How is it compare to the more popular ATH-M50?

  • how good/bad is the noise cancelling?, as good as an audio technica?

    • The noise cancelling isn't all that good IMO. They're good headphones, but not if your main priority is noise cancelling.

      • AGREE !!! I still love these headphones.
I have never noticed a "hiss when the noise cancelling is on".
These work without the batteries (no Noise Cancelling/Less bass).

  • Good price, the same amount I paid for them when I price matched The Good Guys last month. Bass is a bit too powerful for my liking (very controlled, deep thuds), but other than that they're not bad! $99 is definitely about all I'd value them at though.

As for comparison to ATH-M50's, I compared them to my friends and the M50's have a much warmer, balanced sound, which is to be expected from monitors I guess. The UE's sound has a bit more personality to it, the M50's sound kinda dull, for lack of a better word. (They still sound great, just depends what you're looking for)
