    DayZ will be a full retail game. Thats what its working toward. Buying it at $30 is getting it at a cheaper price in a manner of pre-ordering the game. What you get now is access to an alpha to try while its being built.
    Its the minecraft model. You're pre-ordering the game at a cheaper price. As a bonus for pre-ordering you get access to an alpha version that is updated while its built.

      Dean "Rocket" Hall went on to say that the game would be $15. At the $30 it's currently at, you get more content out of the mod which is, wow, only $5 to get. So, after being lied to about the pricing, we are getting a broken game which is nowhere near Alpha, more like Devbuild or Pre-Alpha. Hence my comment regarding it's outrageous, because it is. I honestly feel embarrassed for you.
