      My old 500Gb one came with Firewire cable, USB 2 cable and yes it requires an external power source, also included of course.

      Have updated the contents in the description above. Yes it has FireWire cable. Also it is an external drive, so you will have to plug it in to power it.

    Good deal for a good drive. I've used two of them for about 3 years with no problems - and they're pretty fast using FW800.
