This is IKEA's biggest SALE of the year and it's starting from this Friday. While this sale is called '50% off SALE', discounts range from well below 50% to well above 50% like Nest of tables, set of 3, 50x50cm has been reduced to $49 from $129 which is a lot higher than 50%.

I'm waiting for the post Christmas sales to buy an IKEA TV/entertainment unit and a leather lounge suite from another store. No point buying now at full price in the Christmas silly season. Hurry up IKEA, I've got money to spend at your store.
lounge sales are BS mate. Currently they have xmas sale, then boxing day sales, then new years sales, then Oz day sales. This goes on and on through out the year.
Start looking at lounges now, you will see what I mean. Their sales are normal prices and their rrp is just inflated. All stores do this from plush to king to nick scali.
Most places wont budge on price as their "sale" price is "special". The only time you can get something at a genuine 50% off is when its floor stock/demo most of which is thrashed. Maybe 1 or 2 in every 15 were like new.

Nothing too interesting in the Richmond VIC store… seems only a few items discounted, unless there will be more than that at the actual store.
