    With convection, I would say yes. Make your pies crispy etc.

    EDIT: Choice gave this 72/100.. not the best, not the worst.

      That's definitely the higher end model, but for $150 less this doesn't look bad.

    Convection Oven… They're microwave, grill and oven. They also work in combo mode so you can grill and micro at the same time. I high end brand like Smeg would be up there in price.

    If you're not cooking massive roasts, it can eliminate the need for a regular oven.

  i have something similar at home but i prefer a oven so no microwave radiation.

  Anyone know if the grill on these things is like an actual grill or does it still use some of the microwave heating process?

  Not meaning to sound like a hippie haha but i havent used a microwave in about 5-6 years, always tastes bettter in the oven (especially meat)

  I have this microwave. It does the job. The convection part though takes maybe 5 minutes to warm up to get things crispy. But a good microwave and I paid from memory around $700.

  I had a earlier model Smeg (looks similar to this) was just rebranded, lasted 2 years, was crap. Brought a WHIRLPOOL JT366 of amazon.it, love it

  I had this model for 3 months and it has gone back!

  A rebranded chinese microwave, looks great, but is pretty crappy!

  The cooling function (fan and light) even on just microwave runs for 3 minutes after cooking!

  It rattled and vibrated so much, so it went back!

  I wouldn't recommend it!

  I just got this convection microwave from kogan $99+delivery and I am impressed so far: http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/30l-convection-microwave-oven/
  I can't speak for its durability but it is the nicest of the 3 cheap convection combos (B&D, abode) I have had over the last 12 years.
  I wonder how it compares on a value for money basis with the one on offer?

  I still think Sharp make the best convection microwaves. They're just huge (but excellent replacements for standard ovens).
