thnx
Just bought one at OW this morning.
They price beat Computer Alliance ($529), bringing it to $502.55, which is not too bad if you're in Brisbane southside.I bought one for $458 ish at officeworks a month back as a pricematch (sorry, forgot who).
Nice unit, but I'm going to sell now, as I got a surface RT instead, which meets my needs.main downsides? how's the power of it? how long did batt life last in your experience
just not sleeping properly like ipad. it could wake up at anytime when u move ( while lid/keyboard closed). because of that battery drained and the screen backing become hot.
in contrast, the tablet could go into "real" hybernation, meaning it is hard to shake/wake it up at all even after pressing the on/off button for 20 seconds. there are some blog threads somewhere talking about ASUS doing somekind of BIOS update. i havent got a chance to look into it. apart from that, it is a truly productive tablet with enough battery for whole day work.
No downsides, just didn't need the full Windows experience, and found the Surface to be a slicker unit. Plus I have a horrible habit of switching devices any time Ozbargain tells me too.
The battery life on it is amazing. As a tablet it felt really nice to hold, as a laptop, I was coming from a Macbook Air, so it felt cheaper in comparisson, but still nice.
$548 at bing lee with a free printer and delivery. Officeworks will beat the price but won't give you the printer.
