  • Hi Rep. Will this fit my Pano GF3 micro 3/4 camera?

And how much do you normally sell this lens for?

    • You can prob get a mount conversion kit for it, but not much use as it will turn it into a "dumb" lens, no electronics just full manual lens.

No (superior) Pentax mount, no deal!

Nice price though for anyone out there after a cheap day-to-day owes-you-nothing zoom lens on Canikon mount.

  • No sony mount! =(

  • +1

    Freight is $11.

Is this HK stock? If it's Aus stock then I guess it's a decent price.

    I'm comparing with http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SIGMA-70-300mm-F4-5-6-DG-MACRO-TE…

It's Aus stock, and also has the option for Sony or Pentax mounts.

    • Hi Esq,

Its 100% Australian stock all the way.

Guys, this is a junk lense. The f4.0-5.6 aperture range is dark dark dark, and the fact that it's a range at all (ie: minimum aperture varies with focal length) is an abject nuisance when you're trying to use it.

Best approach to this lense would be "run screaming". Save your pennies, buy a decent lense later. You'll thank me! :-)

Perhaps potential buyers can invest in a decent flash, or move to a sunny sunny state :)

Besides, with photo editing software anything is possible now. Photoshop it..

    • I'll thank you now, for your input

great comment. thanks for the information

Yep I'd get it and convert it into Sigma coffee mug… get a better use out of this POS. ;)

Not totally true at all, especially at $99 where you can take it with you on holidays and not sweat dropping it or leaving it at the bottom of your backpack.

I took it to the 'gabba for the test this year and took a stack of wonderful photos at f/6 through to f/16 on a K30. Keep expectations in check and you'll have a bunch of fun and take a bunch of wonderful photos.

3 example pics (that are far from the best ones I took) all straight out of camera (though I may have the version 2/APO whatever it is, I forget. In any event, the aperture is the same):

to call this lens junk because of its aperture values is invalid. most telephoto lens have these aperture values. nobody shoots in low light condition without long exposure at these focus range anyways. you wont be able to find a constant wide aperture lens at this focus range anywhere near this price.

      @douglasb

Calling it a junk lens is a tad harsh. You can't expect too much in a macro lens for under $100. It'd be more helpful if you could suggest a better lens at no more than twice the cost. Otherwise, this is acceptable for those who want to explore macro photography on a tight budget. They can buy one now, start exploring, sell it later for half the cost and get a better lens when their budget allows.

It's a $99 lens!!! It's fine for a starter who just has a body or a 18-55 kit lens and just wants to shoot daytime holiday snaps. Not everyone can afford L Glass you know.
Beginners, buy it for the $110 delivered, play with it for a year, then sell it to someone else for $80 when you save up some more money.

Stop being a hater. No one is going to thank you later for saving them about $30 when they didn't have a lens to use for a year while they "Saved up".

I have a Sigma that is f5-6.3! What do you say to that? DARK DARK DARK!! Don't buy it!!!
Oh thats right, I should have just not bought the 150-500 and put the $800 towards the cost of the fixed f2.8. It's only $32,000……

  • Hey OP good deal, what's the best price you can do for the APO version of this lens?

    • Hi allergic2work,

the APO version is currently selling at $289 in our stores and online.

  • how long for the shipping?

    • Hi bctransit,

officially we say allow 3-5 days for delivery.

    • the review is the APO version

      • it does discuss the APO vs the non APO as well

  • can it be delivered by this Friday? Sydney, or can I pick it up? going holiday this Sat

    • Hi Bctransit,

If you take advantage of the offer today, you are welcome to pick it up from our Canterbury store. If you call the Contact Centre directly they can look after you with your order and your pick up request.

      • Hi Rep, Will this lens work perfectly with Nikon D3100?

  • Hi Rep, Is this lens compatible with Nikon D3100? I can order one today if it supports D3100. Thanks

  • Site down for anyone else? I'm just getting "Error executing sql: database disk image is malformed" returned

    Edit: nevermind, back again

That's one ugly looking lens. Reminds me of the shape of a genital.

  • Hi Rep,

What is the focal range on the 100D (which has crop of 1.6x)? Also can you confirm that this is the non-OS ver.?

  • ordered. at $110 shipped its great and the review was solid. My Nikon telephoto VR died so I can't complain.

  • Slow and noisy auto focus with ugly look make me no buy. Save your bucks guys, unless you need a budget zoom lens.

  • this is a great price for budget lenses, with macro function (actually, the macro is not that great, but still a great price) put this on a DX Nikon body and you get the extra X1.5 length !!. I used this lenses on my D90 and works fine. There is a motor inside, so will also auto focus on smaller DX body like the D5100 and even auto focus my original D40 (so should work on D3100 - to answer mithunthakkar question). I would however, recommence the Nikon 70-300 non-VR for around $130+delivery, if you're don't need the macro and can afford a bit more.

  • Coming up in cart @ $214.00 + $19.00 shipping.
    Am I doing something wrong?

    • +1

      Hi poogene2001,

May I recommend you remove the lens from the cart and then add the lens again. It should solve the issue for you.

      • Thanks for the rather simple advice.
1 x purchased to compare with 55-250mm Canon kit lense.
Only concern is lack of image stabilisation and how this impacts sharpness when taking handheld shots.

  • Ordered one and it didn't show which mount I wanted, Mitch called straight away and corrected the error and completed the order. Very good service, Thanks

  • What about one with a Sony mount?

    • Hmm I must have been using my invisible ink again eh?

      • -1

No one cares about the minority who uses Pensony. Get a Cankon.

  • Hi Rep,

Any chance of me getting this deal again as I missed it yesterday?

    • yes me too. came to buy it and price has gone up
