Quick glimpse of the image and I thought they were $100 notes they were "duplex" copying haha.

Well, if a printer can print fake money decently, it must be a good printer, right?

  • Looks like good value. Anyone have any views on it?

    • I have the MX726, which does ADF duplex scanning and printing too and it has been working very well.

There is an annoying lag when it first starts up where you wait several minutes before it'll print anything. Other than that, the ADF is godsend, and it prints fairly quick once it gets going, and if you install the Canon software you are able to scan straight to your computer from the printer (no need to initiate it from your computer, which is very convenient).

I was told by the guy at OW that the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus lasts much longer (printer ink wise), although looking at inkdepot.com.au the cost per page for ink isn't that radically different. The HP is almost 3 times the initial outlay, but may save you money in the long run.

Hi guys, I'm usually a stalker rather than a commenter but I got such a good deal on this I thought I'd add something.

I have the older Canon MX700 and it's great - used mainly for scanning as I have a laser for printing. If it runs out of ink you can still press a few buttons to make it scan. It doesn't have duplex scanning or printing which is a real hassle for me so I decided to upgrade to this model. I picked it up yesterday but haven't set it up yet. Great that the new one has Wifi as well so I don't have to have a network cable running to it.

Was going to price match at Officeworks but decided to team it up with the Harvey Norman AMEX $30 cashback here:

Also, after using it as tax deduction, it should end up costing around $45 for a printer that is RRP $249. Sweet!! Thanks OP.
