Hi all.

My first post here but have been lurking around for a long time. I picked up one of these irons from Bing Lee a little while ago on a sale price (slightly above $200), but just noticed them at $195. Combining this with the $50 Cash Back offer from Philips makes it a very worthwhile purchase.

Instructions on how to claim the Cash Back are detailed on the website. Mine took about 1.5 weeks to arrive (they mail you a cheque).

Purchases must be made during promotional period (1 November 2013 – 31 December 2013). Claims must be made within 14 days of purchase. Last claims must be received by last mail on 15 January 2014.

  Do you have to use this with an ironing board or can it also be used like a steam iron? (I know very little about irons)

    It does have to be used with an ironing board to be effective.

    Steam generators are well worth the money. It's cut my ironing time in half.

      Ever since I found out the trick to throw shirts in the drier for a few minutes with a damp cloth in there - gets me the same result as ironing, I've cut my ironing time by 100%.
