  • am i looking at the wrong model, or is Amazon selling this one for 2200USD? http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B001A75V3I/ref…

    • Seems a little different… the model Gizmomart is advertising is not 1080p (Full HD), it is only HD (1366x768)

      LG link below

Gizmo should make sure they get the correct info on there. I certaintly would be returning a TV advertised at 1080P but only getting a 720 model.

      • Voting negative because of this :(

By all means this is a beautiful TV but calling it Full HD when it isn't is absolutely misleading.

Really even for a 'regular' HDTV it has a great picture and looks quite stylish, so I'm voting -'ve on the ad, not the TV.

The new model is also out now, and for $1799 this is a fairly 'normal' price for the old model. At work I was selling them for $1500 (little more/little less) when we were clearing them. The new model is about $2,000 and still isn't Full HD, but it does have 600Hz sub-field drive and improved contrast ratio.

Strange that it says "Superior Full HD" in the description then.

  • Hmmm, unless LG's own site is wrong, perhaps Gizmomart have cut and paste from the wrong specs? They've also listed the Dynamic Contrast Ratio as 1M:1… 1 million to 1???

    • Dynamic contrast ratios are useless and misleading (actually most contrast ratios are misleading because different manufacturers have different ways to measure them!) The actual contrast ratio is 30,000:1, as it is a plasma screen.

It's high def (1366x768) not full def (1920x1080), specs from LG:

    http://au.lge.com/products/model/print/tv_plasmatv_integrate…

  • not full hd

  • I own the model just below this (50PG20D), with the only difference being less HDMI ports and a usable USB port (mine's Service Only). It is only 1080i, but still a damn sweet picture. That said, I picked it up in December for $1550. I did some tough bargaining between two stores, but surely it can come down in price a bit more. Have big screens really bounced in price? Especially considering this is a superseded model…

  • From the site:

Picture and description is for illustrative purposes only. Actual product may differ from that pictured

LOL. In other words, if you cough up your $1700 and instead of a TV we give you a packet of Ginger Nuts, tough bickies.

  • Wow, I thought this was a fantastic deal until I realised the information was WRONG, and it's only crap HD.

  • This advert is NASTY with a capital 'N'….. The link above goes to a model that is FullHD but this is not the model that is being sold in this advert!!!!!

Here's the correct model link from:
    http://au.lge.com/products/model/detail/tv_plasmatv_integrat…

when you click on specifications it states 1366x768

    VERY MISLEADING ADVERT
