Anyone know if Jade Empire now works OK on Windows Vista, 7 and 8?
Last I heard it was too buggy to play.
Purchased it. To go with the gaming PC I haven't built yet. Damn you, Ozbargain.

Just finished playing it with Windows 8.1.
I experienced issues with getting it to start up which I resolved by running steam as admin.
Occasionally the camera glitched when changing levels, but usually could be fixed by saving and reloading the game. Only happened a handful of times though.
Oh my god… Full Spectrum Warrior, lol. A.K.A "the 3rd-person America's Army clone/an ideal view of the War on Terror by the Bush administration"; it's actually not a terrible shooter at all but it was released just after the commencement of the Iraq War, not to mention it's based on an actual simulator used by the US military, and as such it feels like you're playing an interactive ad for the US Army.
Also you don't actually get to shoot anything personally; you simply issue orders to fire teams who then proceed to light up whatever you've designated in a giant cross hair that takes up half the screen.
So it's like the worse, alienless, propagandafull version of XCOM?

Loved Jade Empire when I first played it on xbox so many years ago, one of my first bioware games and now I'm hooked!
