        • I live in Belmont WA.. I rang the store yesterday when this promo had just started. They said they had no stock of any of the Wii U games.

  • The address on the "Order received email" and the address on the "Good News Order on the way email" is difference. The Good news one missing the most important middle part of the address.

    Finger cross they printed the correct one on the envelope.

  • I got an email saying my order has been allocated to a store even though I paid to have it posted. What does that mean??

  • ordered black ops 2 this morning around 9:30, received it this afternoon. Lightning fast!! And I wonder how they manage to do it?

  • Maybe I got lucky or ordered games nobody wants… Uncharted + LBP on Vita and Forza 4 and Black Ops 2 at 4:45PM, got an email and of store allocated 5 minutes later and 5 minutes later, confirmation that the order is on its way… coming from different store: Bundaberg / Brown Plains / Bendigo

  • At 11am I ordered Pokemon HeartGold, SoulSilver, White & White 2 and received the store allocation (Robina, QLD) email at 8:30pm. Don't lose hope!

    11am order allocated at 9.30pm
    11.50am order allocated just now 10:30pm

    All are at Auburn which is my closest good guys, which I'm hoping translates into quick delivery.

    I wonder if i could go pick them up..

  • Great deal. I have no idea if GoodGuys will follow through on my order. Earlier in the morning I was having a hard time getting any love from the website.

    I notice a lot less games available now than this morning. Probably to be expected…

    • My second order I put through for one game just got the confirm. So it's probable you'll get your order.

  • I ordered at 8am, I made 2 orders, one with Luigi & zombie u which has been allocated. Then I did an order directly after with DS games, mostly Pokemon games, to finish my Xmas shopping off, which is yet to be allocated. Fingers crossed it all goes through well tomorrow, especially seeing people who ordered after that time have received allocation notices.

  • Was ready to rage that I never recived any kind of communication from TGG but I just checked my junk mail and found 2 emails for them, guitar hero and cod bo2 nuke town are mine, but a heads up for anyone who thinks they are yet to hear anything, look in your junk mail boxes.

    Btw ordered at around 10 am and allocated at 1030pm,so seems like a 12 hour turn around time

    • I ordered 13 game for my personnel collection and got the confirmation email :), they must have a lot of stock.

  • Ordered around 1-2pm, email arrived about an hour ago, confirming stock allocation at Nunawading VIC…hmm…had I known I'd get it from there, I would've driven down there myself.

    • Same. Nunawading here. Too far for me though. Happy to pay 2 bucks delivery. This was a really good deal. From The Good Guys (!) of all shops. I never think of them for anything except that annoying jingle..

    I ordered 8 games around 9am yesterday.
    Order allocated email arrived 8:22pm.
    No further emails received and according to my order history on TGG site my order has bounced from Niddrie to Penrith and all the games are listed as Backordered

  • Hi guys just wanted to update you also… I'm in SA and I put through two different orders between 930-10am yesterday and got a stock allocation email for the first one at 5pm last night from Bundall QLD, and the second stock allocation email at 8pm from Moorabin in Vic.

    Has anyone called their allocating stores to make sure they have stock, or is there no point doing that? I know some people got calls saying their stuff was out of stock when they had had a store allocated to them.

    Status: Backordered. Maybe they're shuffling stock between stores, otherwise I'd probably expect cancellation of certain items.

    • Same here, all of purchases have been backordered for me as well. Damn, the customer service were pretty confident when I asked them about stock.

      • Last time they had a sale that got a lot of hits here , I had my games backordered , told it would be a couple of weeks , then finally cancelled , hope you get something!

  • Received an email yesterday telling me it was allocated to a store in another state. Just logged in to the website and there is no record of my order but there is a note saying that orders won't show until 24 hours after they've been received.

    Just called Moorabbin, they had maybe 60 games in stock, with over 300 orders to fulfil.
    My order can't be sent out as all their stock is exhausted.
    They have no idea how they will process these orders as they don't have the stock to send out to all the orders.

    I smell a major screw up coming our way.
    Possible neg for selling with no goods to send out…

      Until I know what is happening I assume I am getting my order of games.
      But it is doubtful they have they stock seeing it was a clearance sale.

    It seems like TGG has found the cheat to life and used that cheat to create an infinite supply of games.

  • Hey guyys just an update. Received an email that my items are dispatched. However, 1 of my items got canceled so i rang the allocated store and they told me that they have all my orders (thank GOD) and the "cancel" I received on my email was due to the model number of the product being changed from their system.

    So for those who might get a cancel too that could be the reason.

    UPDATES:

    Just called my allocated store and they said they have way too many orders.

    Apparently someone from head office is there to sort out how the orders will be fulfilled. When asked if they will be fulfilling the orders based on order time, the staff I spoke to does not know.

    All I know is, most likely they will refund a fair bit of the orders here since they oversold their stock.

    Just rang Robina and they seemed very overwhelmed. Saleswoman seemed to suggest that I should not get my hopes up… and to possibly expect a refund. She said, like others have noted, that she's in contact with head office to work out what to do.

    Well, gratz to those who have theirs shipped out… hopefully they can fulfil as many orders as possible, I called my couple of stores and they said the same thing so hoping I ordered early enough! Would be nice if they only shipped one copy per person and maybe that would help…

  • I just got an email from the Caringbah NSW store saying that they won't be fulfilling my order due to a high volume of sales and to expect a refund in a few days time. I placed my order at about 6:55am on Wednesday morning for what it's worth, for 5 games.

    I've also got a separate email from Casula NSW saying that the same order number had shipped, because two of the 5 games in that order had been allocated to them. Only one is actually shipping though, the other is on backorder (which means I won't be getting it).

    All in all it's a bit of a clusterf*ck which is to be expected, but still a bit disappointing to have gotten in so early and still only get 1 game from 5.

    • Oh and I should add that I placed a 2nd order at 8:35am Tuesday once I got to work and had a bit more time to browse, all of which has been allocated to Penrith NSW, but I haven't heard back from that one. Expecting it to be another order cancellation though given how long it took to allocate! Will update this post once I hear back…

  • I called Casula NSW and they said that 'webmaster' is trying to obtain more stock, otherwise refunds.

  • Received my Halo 4 and COD Black OPS2, that is quick.

    Halo 4 comes with Tomb Raider full game download which I have already bought from Fishpond for $10 not long ago with the $10 credit they gave.

    So $22 for 3 games not bad :)

          I'd guess that TGG have just pulled out Halo 4 from an old console bundle then (with Tomb Raider luckily still in the package) to sell individually. Most console bundles for the last few months have had a DLC version of Tomb Raider included.

    I ordered some games for Xmas presents (the same time as I shared the deal) and received allocated email straight away and that was it , never heard from them.

    Possibly some people including broden went to stores at opening time and cleaned them up before the stores have a chance to check incoming orders .

    Most likely I will miss out however I am glad for some fellow ozbargainers who scored this bargain.

  • I had 2 orders. One order was made minutes after the post came up. I received this package today with my 3 games. I'm from Ballarat and the store that was allocated was Preston. Not hugely popular games so I believe that's why. My second order I've still only received a email saying stock was allocated. This order included pokemon games and a couple other popular titles. I'm not holding my breath. But would be sweet if I did get the order.

  • Is it just me? I'm smelling a really major screw up from The Good Guys. Placed an order and received allocation for 14 assorted games. Placed orders 10ish in the morning yesterday. I wonder if they'll give compensation for not fulfilling the orders. I remember the Dick Smith Logitech G27 $20 screw up a year ago, they honored the pricing error and sent out the units for $20 each for those who were able to get an order number.

    Not sure about a screw up… the banner they designed clearly shows they intended to make the games $10 each as it says 'until stocks last' underneath… however they probably didn't expect such a demand and the system wasn't able to update regularly enough to show what was sold out… but hopefully, we'll all get lucky somehow!

    Pisses me off that the people who bought them clearly to resell (see ebay listings!) got theirs and the people that geniunely wanted them for presents or their own collection will miss out :/

      They were the ones that would have gone into the stores and purchased the stock, before it could be allocated to an online order.

      I know. People can be so greedy. I ordered 3 games, one of which was for my boyfriend yet people are buying 15+ copies of games. I hope the stores choose to cancel orders like these before the genuine ones.

        you would hope that common sense would prevail and those ordering multiple copies of the same game would be cancelled first but you never know.

  • Ordered 3 games yesterday at about midday and received a store allocation email at about 11pm that night. Called up the store and they said they have way too many orders and have contacted head office about what to do. I ordered fairly early, so I'm just hoping I'm closer to the front of the queue. But at the same time i'm expecting the worst outcome.

  • Yeh this is sounding ridiculous.

    My good guys says they received the orders when i told them to explain they said they dont ACTUALLY have the stock they were just allocated the order number. And I asked if they dont receive stock will they backorder. She said yes but sounded iffy and also said we might have to refund.

    I hope everyone who struggled with the online orders as I did receives their orders except for the tools who bought to sell.

    She also said I'd get a call/email from support today further explaining…

      Honestly I dont think its fair if we miss out, when you place an order successfully you should recieve it regardless of how long it takes to sort orders or how incapable their website is.

      I wont accept a simple refund if they offer it. But hopefully that argument doesnt have to take place and we get our games :)
