I have the 128GB version of this model and I can say that it is a good machine except the keyboard disconnects/reconnects when you push the screen/tablet too much. But the 64GB model is VERY limited. You are left with only around 30GB of disk space when you first turn the machine on, so with the install of office and few other productivity apps, you will have very little to no room left for much else. Not to mention the Win 8.1 upgrade and any other patches or service packs. You can only get around this with USB drives or MicroSD cards but not ideal in my opinion.

    • It's not hard replacing the msata ssd on these btw. Credit card around the edges and viola. Warranty still intact.

Lmao at the 1 star review this stupid guy gave it. He expect a laptop to have a sim slot?

    • I didn't read his response but the Lenovo Helix (higher end)and some Lenovo x series tablet pcs utilize 3g sim slots. They are pretty similar spec wise.

  • It's a fine deal except for that 64 GB SSD.

Is it possible and easy to upgrade this to something larger?

    • Would like to know this too :)

Is it a 2.5" drive or mSATA?

      Edit: see below = mSATA

Almost as much as the laptop itself?

    • Also looks like RAM cannot be upgraded.

  • This is basically a Surface Pro competitor for only $599. It even includes the keyboard. Full HD + Core i5 (3rd gen).

    • although no stylus I believe, but yeh a much cheaper alternative if it suits you

      • I think it does have a stylus. I need to check it in store, but from reviews, the reviewers mention several times that it has a stylus. After all it was Samsung Note which came up with this stylus at the first place.

        • confirmed,it has a stylus

        • wow that's pretty awesome, battery life is pretty good too considiering i5 and full HD

        • much better stylus than the Surface Pro as well - it fits into the tablet and not on the outside like the Surface.

        • well that's debatable, although it fits inside the tablet which is useful. But the Surface's is a wacom digitizer pen. Can't comment on the quality of this particular s-pen (used it on Note 2, quite decent) but not sure about the uses of both.

        • Samsung partially owns Wacom for a reason.

  • Basically it's a full HD(1920x1080) windows 8 tablet with a keyboard and a proper intel cpu…unfortunately it's an ivy bridge, not a haswell.

    • it can last you at least 4hrs with highest setting though, look for the reviews

  • It's seems Samsung is soon releasing next version of Ativ to compete against Surface Pro 2.
HN has already cleared it's stock and now it's DS.

  • Can anybody with experience with this particular laptop comment on:

    • The stylus, is it actually useful/accurate/good for drawing or just a crap gimmick?
    • Build quality, any good or a budget build with a flimsy dock connector and crappy keyboard?
    • The stylus is not a gimick. It's a Wacom penabled stylus with I believe to have 1028 levels of pressure sensitivity. All tablet pc have flimsy dock connectors. Nature of the best with that type of design but this is rock solid although a bit on the ugly side.

    • WACOM stylus = serious biz. Best in the industry really. Cintiqs and bamboos are made by wacom
