200

Math Write helps kids learn math by teaching proper techniques for solving simple or complex math problems. Just write your answers with your finger, just like you would with a pencil on a piece of paper in school.

A child can select different levels of difficulty, from simple single-digit addition and subtraction to more complex multi-digit multiplication and division.

Math Write provides you with all the tools a kid needs to quickly and easily succeed in math.

$1.99 to $51.99 last week, and now free… still a bargain, but excessive price hikes and reductions make me dubious about the true value of these deals.

So its save $51.99 not $50 … even better bargain …

I hope next time the raise the price higher so I can save even more….

On the 9th of Nov they added In-App purchases, maybe they've went from a full paid app to in-app purchases hoping to increase revenue.

      Thanks for the bagain, OP

    The reviews are very mixed.
This product doesn't seem to do much to help kids learn.

In short: The value of this tool depends on your philosophy in teaching.

    • real world questions v/s pure theory of math. This system focuses on "pure theory" only
    • rewards v/s no rewards. This system doesn't appear to have any rewards such as games, "dress ups", talking koalas, etc.
    • emphasis on math and comprehension v/s emphasis on math only. This system has no emphasis on comprehension. It relies purely on repetition. Comprehension comes through variation of language/terminology/algorithms, etc.

One method in particular that has impressed me so far is called SOLE and it featured on TED (note: it's also been called by other names). The SOLE "supporting materials" aren't the best, but the principles are excellent. SOLE is not limited to mathematics, but can be used for all disciplines.

Disclosure: I have developed a maths based educational system, so some could say i'm biased.
