222

Version 2.0 of the app was rolled out recently, and it has introduced 3 new IAP options for everyone.

NOTE: Existing pre-v2.0 app owners are NOT grandfathered into any of the v2.0 premium features - existing and new users are presented with the same IAPs.

As such, the original deal is no longer applicable, and the deal post will be set to Expired

Developer Marcel Schmitz's "your health widgets" app Hidgets has been temporarily discounted 100% from US$2.99 to $0.00 on the Apple App Store. This promotion's exact end date/time is unknown, this may only last a couple of days.

NOTE: Hidgets version 1.6 will be updated to the revamped version 2.0 in the near future

App Description

Insert health widgets on the home screen of your iPhone with Hidgets. View steps, heart beat, oxygen levels, sleep times and much more. The missing widgets you asked for!

The latest iOS release has introduced an amazing feature on your home screens called widgets. What was missing? Exactly, health related widgets. Not anymore!

Introducing Hidgets, your health widgets for your home screen. Select up to 11 different categories to display all your health information the way you want: steps, active energy (calories burned), distance, sleep time, heart rate, resting heart rate, weight, oxygen leves, blood glucose, water and mindful minutes. Select style, mode, source and color, and even what the widgets should open when tapping on them.

You can choose up to 11 different layout styles, from small to medium sized widgets, making the combination you want for your home screen.

This app uses HeathKit to obtain information about your movement, weight, oxygen levels, blood glucose, sleep and heart beat values, should you consent the app to do so upon launch.

Note: the update frequency of the widgets depend on the iOS itself, not controllable by the app. The operating system will decide how often the widgets need to refresh, but you can force refresh them by entering the Hidgets app once and go back to the home screen.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact me at [email protected] or visit the website https://hidgets.com.

Thank you so much for your support!

With love from Portugal,
Marcel

  • How it will count the geart rate or oxygen level? Do we have to wear a watch?

    • +1

Looks like you have to have a wearable. I am happy for just the step counter.
      Thanks OP!

    • On iOS the phone maintains a database of all your health data, and your various apps and devices contribute to it. It might seem weird at first but it’s the same way your photos work. So you can collect your heart rate using any device that does the job – an Apple Watch does it – and this widget tool shows you that data

Hidgets Pro behind a paywall coming soon - wonder how many existing V1.6 features go missing behind the paywall..

The latest iOS release has introduced an amazing feature on your home screens called widgets.

    That is a false statement.

    • To be fair, it was true when the app was released 5 years ago. iOS 14 just isn't the latest any more and the dev has not proof-read the description in that time.

(I guess you could argue that widgets aren't amazing 🙃)

Thanks. Good app. Was looking for something liner this.

Great app, great deal. Thx for the post OP.

  • I downloaded the App, gave access to health, how do I actually create the widgets from it? Nothing seems obvious to me.

how do I actually create the widgets from it?

On you phone, select 'Edit' then 'Add Widget'

It’s now paid through IAP 🤦‍♂️

So if you previously had widgets like weight tracking they’re behind a pay wall.

Yep, in bird culture this is considered a dick move.

As noted by @Helpmeplease101 and others, Hidgets app version 2.0 was rolled out recently, which has introduced three new IAP options.

NOTE: Existing pre-v2.0 app owners are NOT grandfathered into any of the v2.0 premium features - existing and new users are presented with the same IAPs

As a result of this new pricing model change, I will set the original deal post to Expired

  • Enjoyed it whilst it lasted. What a shame.

  • What a pile of crap, a complete suck in to get you enjoying the App then shuts it all down and asks you to sign up for a premium program. 'Bargains' like this should be banned and the people putting them up banned as well. (profanity) cynical.

  • The new version is charging now despite the free app at the time. It seems click and bait to get user data
