iPhone 5S or Samsung Galaxy S4?

I want to buy a new mobile phone, I am considering iPhone 5S and galaxy S4. Which one would be better, also outright or contract which will be good? I m happy with apple except screen size. Never used Samsung so, just need some help from you all…Thanks

        • No but I have a 5Mp camera here. When photos are printed at the various photo labs around my place at A4 size, there's a distinct lack of sharpness I don't get with cameras that have more resolution at that A4 size. 4Mp would have to be worse or not?

For people that shoot a lot indoors I hear (and the photos I've seen from the BRILLIANT reviewer Marques Brownlee) the HTC One is actually very good, but outside shots with a lot of details are far better on other phones.

It is now not the main reason the One is not my next phone, but it would be a contributing factor.

If you care to know, the reason I cannot get the One is due to the USB port. It's too far off-centre and actually will not fit in my car dock.

Stupid reason maybe but I paid a lot to have an Android car dock to simply cast it aside.

One thing I do like in Apple camp - universal dock position. Something Android still seems not to have learnt from :(

  • If you are looking at an S4, consider the S4 active….I've gone through many phones, but this one is a keeper, can't see myself switching for a long time. The water/dustproof features are very handy, and the phone itself suits me perfectly.

    • -1

I still don't understand why people need waterproof phones, do you really try and use them in the shower or bath? Or carelessly hover it over water (like a toilet)?

There was always something that I was tought at an early age, water+electricity (or electrical devices) = bad… I've never felt the need to test this theory since the explanation that if I took my gameboy in the bath then I couldn't play Pokemon anymore because my gameboy wouldn't work was explanation enough.

There's no need to have a less powerful phone, instead boogy on down to 'the Abbas' or whatever it is you kids sing along to in the shower, with the phone OUTSIDE the shower.

      • +4

There are actually a number of benefits I've experienced with the S4 Active, both due to the water-proofing/dust-proofing and the phone itself.

Firstly, it has an IPS screen, instead of the Amoled. The colours aren't as vibrant, however it is more natural and easier to see in sunlight.

The feel of the phone is also much nicer, with the rubber edges. It also has hard buttons, which I much prefer over the capcitive buttons.

In regards to the waterproofing, I use the phone alot around boats and the ocean. It is more the peace of mind than anything that if it does get splashed, it is no issue. I also exercise alot at the beach, and to be able to jump into the ocean after a run for a cooling dip without leaving my phone un-attended on the sand is a big plus.

The phone is not for everyone, and and if your primary use is to listen to Bjorn and Co in the shower, it may not be for you, but as the name suggests, if you are ACTIVE, it certainly is a great option.

      • What if you have an emergency call while you're out swimming?

Seriously though, if dropping your phone into the water means it's dead and won't get replaced under warranty, the water proofing will have saved your few hundred dollar investment.

  • One point worth mentioning is that iPhones are a bit like Harley Davidsons; not everyone likes them but no one can argue that they have strong residual value.
My wife's 4S is 2 years old now and checking on eBay, she could ask a really good price for it if she wanted to upgrade. Not that she wants to sell; it is still in as-new condition and she likes its latest iOS. I think she will keep it on a pre-paid deal for another 2 years.
Same with my son's 3GS. He would like to update but he is quite happy with what he has got for now.
One the other hand, I don't know how many non-Nexus Android devices will get updates to KitKat (or even older Nexuses, for that matter).

    • Direct from Google:

      "Nexus 4, Nexus 7, & Nexus 10

Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 will be receiving the Android 4.4 update. The latest version will be available in the coming weeks. Once the update is released, it can take up to two weeks for it to reach your device. The update could take 20 minutes or longer to download depending on your Wi-Fi or mobile connection speed."

So Nexus One, S and Galaxy Nexus flavours will not. The Galaxy is two years old. As discussed before this is NO different to what Apple does so can we kill that topic? I have a couple of 4th gen Ipods here from 2010 that can't get iOS 7 either, just like 2010 Nexus can't go to Kit Kat OFFICIALLY.

      Here's the rub!

Android ROMs are in existence for many a handset/model. I will argue I can get MORE life out of an older Android handset by flashing the latest ROM.

I have an old HTC Desire running Android two versions later than it officially came out with.

      http://www.cyanogenmod.org/

Sure, not supported, but two year old devices are out of contract, out of warranty. With Apple, that would be it. At least with Android, I can hop over to the web site above and breathe some more life out of the device.

I AGREE that iDevices seem to hold their value better, but it's not at all due to what you've written above. It is because PERCEPTION of the devices are different. People THINK the iDevices are superior devices because simply, the vast majority do not know any better. Few talk about buying a tablet, they talk about buying an iPad. Take them into a store and show them some tablets, they will still call all of them iPads when they ask me about them when I explain they are tablets from different manufacturers. Brilliant marketing that heaps of people fall for. I see it every day.

Not everyone is as educated on "Tablets" and "Smartphones" as the majority of OzBargainers and they truly believe the correct terms for the devices are iPads and iPhones. I'm not kidding - I'm in the business I see it.

It IS getting less every year, for sure as people are learning about the alternative, but I still get people coming to me for the Samsung iPad - no joke.

Nothing wrong with that, like I said Apple have done a fantastic marketing job and the small head start also certainly does not hurt, but people are starting to wisen up. In the tablet space I still see a lot of iPads, but in the smartphone race, Android is already outselling iPhone by VAST margins. The market share of Android to iPhone in 2012 was about 66% (iPhone 18.6%), and in this year it's predicted (not realized yet) to hit 80%.

      Google it.

Hell, Samsung ALONE are killing iPhone sales globally:

      http://finance.yahoo.com/news/samsung-smartphone-smothers-ap…

      34% Samsung, 15% Apple.

So while I DO agree with your point branners, absolutely iDevices hold their value better currently from what I know and what I can see, I think you'll find the market for used Android devices will also start to rise. Especially last years models.

On EBay - I can now pick up a used fully working condition Samsung Galaxy S III for $160-$260
      Fully working iPhone 5 - $205-$300.

Only about $40 in it now. But considering the original buy price on Mobicity as an example:

      iPhone 5S 16Gb: $859.95
      Samsung Galaxy S4 16Gb : $599.95

Which one is TRULY holding it's value better?

      • Would love to see where you can get an iPhone 5 for $205 fully working, they can go for double that with relative ease.

        • Whoops typo.

If you look at completed listings on EBay you can pick up a fully working unit for $250 or so.

          $205 is a typo - I meant $250.

They RARELY come up at that price, but $300 is very possible. Not sure this link will work but here they are:

          http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/Mobile-Phones-/9355/i.html?_from=…

If not just type in iPhone 5, select phones only, select used only, select completed listings only, then sort by cheapest to most expensive. In the sub $260 bracket range they mostly have broken screens or need to be unlocked, but a few have gone for around that price fully working, once you head towards $300 you'll see heaps sold fully working for that price.

Again, my apologies for the typo BUT I DID research before posting.

      • +1

iDevices have higher resale value but it's negated by the fact that it cost more to purchase in the first place.

If you sell your iDevice and buy a new one, it will cost a similar amount to buying a new Android, except the Android user gets to keep their old device or hand it down.

        • +1

Agreed. I wrote about this in detail here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/117018#comment-1606705

          Summary:

          If an $869 iPhone 5S drops by only 30%, that's a loss of $260

If an $299 Nexus 4 drops by a massive 80%, that a lesser loss of $240

Given that the drop of 30% is optimistic and the 80% overly pessimistic, you're far better off buying a Nexus if holding value is a key criteria.

  • S4 unless you want to wait for the new iphone 6 to come out.

    • +1

What? iPhone 5s JUST got released. Why would the OP wait 11 months for a phone they're asking for now?

      • +1

mate the screen on iphone 5s is so small, i made a switch from iphone 4s and 5 to S4 and feel so happy. I will only go back to iphone until they release a bigger screen model.

  • +3

    Samsung Note 3.

I got the Note 2 earlier this year, before that I was 'never' too big.

Until I saw a friend with it at a Christmas party, having held it and use the much larger screen, the size wasn't a big deal.

Considering with each new generation of phones growing an extra half an inch, tells me people are quickly finding a bigger screen is worth the it when you use it for so many things.

I'm no longer constantly pinching in and out.

    • I would so LOVE to get this phone on my next contract (Next month), but a few months ago I bought an Android car dock and the damn thing is too wide to fit in it!!!

But going by the reviews, you're right the Note 3 is a brilliant choice also +1

  • Personally I prefer the S4 for its larger screen size and customizable options. Both phones have its pros and cons so you really need to know what you're looking for. One thing worth mentioning though is that I don't like the S4's plastic build quality.

    • Interesting. I'm clutching on to my S2 because I feel it hit the sweetspot as far as size goes (with the lower 182 DPI though—feels too chunky without it).

  • I'd also love to grab the HTC One, but even though the camera is touted as good, I can't get my head around that very low megapixel rating.

    • It's not megapixel, it's ultra pixel, the camera in low light is fantastic and you can record slow motion video

      • Ultrapixel is just the flashy marketing name HTC came up with - the sensor is still 4MP. It might be good in low light, but it's inferior practically everywhere else to the likes of the GS4, iPhone 5S and LG G2.

  • Bought a Windows Phone myself. Can't complain, the Ativ S (4.8") does everything you need a smartphone to do. Apps, well, how many shitty apps do you want? The iPhone is obsolete. Not only does it come with a 2010 era sized screen, its so restrictive unless you jailbreak it its not even funny. And the price? Pffft.

I have no objection to Windows Phone, but since Microsoft stopped supporting Google Apps/GMail properly (No ActiveSync, Calendar or Contacts and a terrible implementation of IMAP only), I just cannot get by with it.

A real shame. Was seriously considering a Lumia 1020 with the unbelievably gorgeous 41Mp camera that I had a play with at a Microsoft event.

Then the announcement came for no Google integration any further. Rendered my existing Vivotab RT useless in one foul swoop.

I don't think Microsoft will ever get more than 10% WP penetration if it doesn't learn to play with other kids.

Apple supports Google fully. Everything works. So does Blackberry from what I hear. Microsoft want us to jump ship, then it has to provide a ship that carries my cargo, not one that dumps my cargo over the side and wants to only ship Microsoft cargo.

      • I imagine the raw image produced by a 41MP camera would be massive, no?

        Also - 'one fell swoop'

        • 7-9Mb per photo from what I've seen. It also keeps the high resolution file and immediately uses some form of sampling to create a 5Mp copy of the same file also for use with Facebook etc.

They are both stored on the phone, one has a _highres suffix.

32Gb internal storage so should be OK?

        • +1

SORRY - you said RAW image.

Yes apparently that is or soon will be available and yes, I assume they are/will be massive but I haven't played at all with the DNG format.

      • So use Outlook, which is a full featured replacement. No problem there.

        • And also does not support the version of Activesync Google uses. It ALSO uses IMAP and although admittedly more stable, Outlook is ridiculously slow also. It literally takes more than 5 minutes after I open Outlook to when new mail is refreshed, then when I delete o move a read mail, it takes another 2 or more minutes before I can see the next one.

It ALSO does not give me my calendar or contacts.

On my desktop, yes, I use Google Apps sync which works quite well and gives me everything, but as I mentioned this is my Windows RT tablet - hence no Windows 32 binaries, hence I cannot install Google Sync.

Microsoft have CONSCIOUSLY removed support for the older protocol Activesync Google uses in all their mail clients.

Your comment is fair, just does not work on Windows RT (and Windows Phone).

        • It wasn't actually Windows fault, Google dropped support for google sync and calendar sync.

          http://m.techspot.com/news/51129-google-drops-gmail-outlook-…

        • +2

Google dropped support for the free GMAIL accounts. Google Apps paid accounts still license the Activesync technology, albeit the older protocol. This is what iDevices use to sync.

Microsoft removed the feature as a blanket reaction. There is no reason at all they could not have kept it in for the paid accounts.

So it IS Windows fault - removing a feature for everyone when it was only really necessary for the free gmail clients.

          HOWEVER having said that:

Google is indeed partly to blame also, as they COULD just license a newer version of Activesync.

But you and I do not know what Microsoft are asking as a price for their newer technology, maybe it is unreasonable amount.

Although Iphone 5 and 5s is expensive, i'm sure glad I got it. I prefer iOS simple gui compared to android and it looks more sleek (plus its the perfect size I am sure many can agree). If paying that much is justified, then get it. If not, you'll get your moneys worth with a SG4 (answering to question in title).

    • +6

its the perfect size I am sure many can agree

Wasn't a 3.5 inch display the perfect size?

      • -1

you can't tell an isheep their product isn't perfect they will become mad when they compare with any other phone

      • It WAS; when they had a real leader at the helm. Now they've just got a 'follow-the-pack' accountant running the show.

        • +3

I wish people would stop trying to make out that every thing Apple has even done right was done by Jobs. They followed his vision but this is a company with over 80,000 workers and it's insulting to each and every one of them when people act like he is the only person there capable of doing anything.

He was and remains a very influential man, let's not pretend like he hasn't had a debilitating disease and towards the end of his time at the helm of Apple he was a figurehead and not much more.

CEO's do not micro manage every single part of a company as much as they may try to, think of them more as the captain of the titanic. They yell 20 degrees full speed starboard and then there are people to steer the ship, navigators, people working their arse off keeping the ship powered (shovelling coal) and thousands of people in between. You can't run a ship of that size with one person and a CEO can't run an entire company (especially not one of the most valuable company's in the world).

        • Are you trying to start a rumour of the the Apple iBoat's forthcoming release in 2014?

      • and also never releasing a tablet smaller than 10inches…

        bang ipad mini.

wow is anyone else getting frustrated with these isheep talking about quality user experience, innovation, retina, better performance on their shitty overpriced products

If you want the best: HTC One or iPhone 5s
If you want the best value: Google Nexus 5 or LG G2
If you want the most over-the-top spec'd 'phone': Samsung Note 3
If you want a phone that everyone else has so you won't get embarrassed when people ask 'lol, what phone is that?!': Samsung Galaxy S4
If you want a great phone and you're a SONY fanboy: SONY Xperia Z1
If you want a Windows Phone: Nokia Lumia 1020

    • +1

+1, but a bit dubious to the HTC One as "best" with only a 4Mp camera, NO battery removal, and NO MicroSD card slot.

I think some people would argue that. Beautiful phone and awesome speakers though.

      • +1

Wow - quick to give negative votes here lol

        • +3

Phones are a very touchy subject on here, some people can't make unbiased comments and need to feel as though they have the best phone. In truth they don't have the best phone but they have their favourite phone.

I get annoyed at people not wanting to comment about why they have negged rather than the neg itself. If I don't get a retort then I just figure that it was someone that can't handle the facts (since they obviously didn't want to dispute them).

        • +1

I understand that rekabkram. There have been a few posts I've done in these forums where I expect a little negative comment (we're here to discuss after all - not everybody will agree with everything), just was very surprised to get it there. I basically agreed with the poster saying the One was an awesome phone, but people would argue against it because battery and MicroSD are important to some people.

Didn't really think it warranted a neg - I thought it was a statement of fact in this particular case.

You are spot on saying people can be touchy!

Feel like I'm walking on egg shells sometimes. Do some people want to discuss intelligently or is it "my way or highway" type of forum? I'll get my eggshells lol

    • +1

Why should people get embarrassed when they are using a S4. I'm very proud of it. I also have iphone 5 but I only use it for listening music in my car and for GPS and occasionally playing games.

Your comment is not a good advise to others and should be kept for your personal reference only.

      • i think he meant when people ask .. what is that phablet in your hand (note 3)

        • KLoNe is implying that the only reason to buy the GS4 is to fit in with everyone else.

        • +3

KLoNe is implying that the only reason to buy the GS4 is to fit in with everyone else.

I always thought that was the reason people buy iPhones.

        • -1

Lucky enough for Samsung, S4 is now bundled in with that group.

  • +2

If you're going contract, then whatever OS you prefer, which sounds like Apple since that's what you came from.

If you're buying outright, S4 is much cheaper.

If you want a bigger screen then S4.

Android is more customizable and versatile. You can plug your device into your PC and use it as a mass storage device, which is something you can't do with Apple stuff. The only official way to get stuff on is through iTunes and it has to be supported media types only. If you want to put some zip files in for example, there's no simple drag and drop way of doing that. You'll need to jailbreak or use some third party app that integrates with iTunes. Quite a hassle.

The on screen keyboard with iOS cannot be changed. It's a really terrible keyboard. You have to use a separate screen for numerals and symbols so you have to switch back and forth constantly. Going from Swiftkey on Android which allows you to type so much quicker, to iOS keyboard is a massive downgrade.

Also if you need more storage space, Apple charges a lot for it. Samsung gives you an SD card slot. Apple will charge more per GB than the most expensive SSD you can buy if you want more space.

If you're an Apple user and have a lot of apps from your previous phone, then stick with Apple. They've also got some games you won't get on Android like Infinity Blade. But if you're into watching videos, S4 will be better. Screen resolution is full HD, and media compatibility is way better. It all depends on what you want to do with your phone.

    • I don't think the OP is going on contract because they have said that they want to 'buy a new phone'.

If you are on contract and the phone is going to be a part of that then don't discount the phone you already have, your clearly not blown away by any of the current offerings so there's always the unspecified option of (if your on a plan) switching to prepaid for a while (boost or Aldi mobile are my preferred ones but as with phone operating systems everyone has their favourites), waiting for a new mind blowing phone to come out which will take quite a few months as the new phones are all fairly new and save some money in the mean time.

Operating systems are still the biggest hurdle, invite someone to your house who is on android (preferably with a decent phone such as the nexus 5 or galaxy s4) and commandeer their phone for an hour or so. Phones are getting to the point where they are so powerful there's no huge difference between the better models. It's all well and good people telling someone what to buy but at the end of the day we don't know all of the variables and although one may sounds like the best on paper (or screen) it can be another one that is more functional for you (comfortable with the OS).

  • This is Ozbargain so I say Nexus 5!

I have one as a matter of fact.
    - Battery life is okay, not too bad but not spectacular either
    - too quiet (HTC one and iPhone 5/5S speakers are superiour)
    - The camera is better on even the iPhone 5.
    - Pure Android OS is as good as iOS.

However if you can score an iPhone for cheap then good on ya!

  • I never understood the hate for Touchwiz and Sense or the preference for stock Android.

Touchwiz can do a lot of things I wasn't able to do when I was demoing Nexus products at a shop. And the way you do things is very different also. If I want to add a widget to a home screen, on stock Android I can't simply long press and then click on widgets. I have to go to the app drawer click on widgets, find one I like then hold it down, then select what screen I want to place it on.

Much quicker and more convenient to do it on HTC/Samsung.

Also, I wasn't able to find a stock android equivalent to S Voice. It didn't support touch-free (you can operate some features of an S4 without touching the screen).

The on screen buttons on Nexus are not customizable. There is no menu button, and you cannot alter the multitask button to act as a menu button.

I also don't think it looks as pretty as Sense. It looks kind of boring actually.

Overall I just think stock Android lacks the refinements that Sense and Touchwiz add. I know my opinion is probably not the popular opinion, but that's just how I see it coming from Sense/Touchwiz.

I would always buy a Samsung over a Nexus.

    • I actually don't mind Touchwiz either lostn. I like the integration with my social networking. I'm not a fan of S Planner at all (doesn't be default sync with my Google Calender - WTF???) and went back to stock Calendar, and you'll have to explain S Voice to me. I use Google Now which is absolutely amazing given a chance and I like that Nexus 5 activates it by voice, but I cannot go to S Voice simply by saying "Hi Galaxy". I HAVE to start Voice Command first before it will listen, so it's not completely touch free.

Have you tried Google Now or are there some things in S Voice which Google Now won't do for you?

      • Ah, I didn't know it was called Google Now. I have not tried it. So maybe that is their equivalent to S Voice.

You can turn pages by flicking your palm over the screen on an S4, or use the camera. This didn't work when I tried it on the Nexus 7. If you hover your finger over the screen without touching it, it acts like the S pen with a Note. Hover over a calendar date and it will expand to show you notes for that day. If you're watching a video, hover over the time bar and you get a preview frame for that spot.

The S4 camera also has software that can remove photobombing automatically. I think that's a Samsung feature, and not an Android feature.

I actually could not find the widget that allows you to toggle your GPS/Data/Bluetooth/Wireless, etc on the Nexus. Or if it was there, it was less robust and only included a few options and not everything.

I don't think the Touchwiz is the prettiest interface ever, but it works. It's functional. People say it's bloated, I don't know what that means. It's not slower than any other phone at least. Just don't use stuff you don't need.

        • Ah, I didn't know it was called Google Now. I have not tried it. So maybe that is their equivalent to S Voice.

It's more than that. It has Google Voice Search (S Voice equivalent), yeah, but Google Now predicts what information you'll want to see at particular times. It has a persistent weather card based on your location, it'll come up with ETA for traffic, it'll have some suggested pages based on your web searches on any devices related to that Google Account, and sometimes it'll come up with articles it think you might be interested in.

I've found it to be pretty hit or miss, but it's fairly impressive what they can do, leveraging all the data gained from your use of their multiple services.

You can turn pages by flicking your palm over the screen on an S4, or use the camera.

All of that motion stuff is Touchwiz, so you're right; you won't get it on any other device.

I think that's a Samsung feature, and not an Android feature.

Yeah, that whole camera app is Samsung's. The Google one is vastly different and has much fewer features (or bloat, as some may see it).

I actually could not find the widget that allows you to toggle your GPS/Data/Bluetooth/Wireless, etc on the Nexus.

There is one built in on stock Android, but it only has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Sync and Brightness on it. The app Power Toggles is much better than either, anyway.

    • +1

I don't mind TouchWiz UI either, very happy with it on the Note 3.

  • Iphone 5s .no doubts else note 3.

  • +1

It's been super confusing to pick one from all these good handsets. They all are very tempting to buy and all have their pros and cons but depending on our requirement need to select one.All have in putted their valuable suggestions for each handset so now it will be easy to decide. Thank you all . Nexus 5 and galaxy S4 is front runners for me.

  • Awesome debate I'm also in the same boat except I'm heading overseas in a month so I want a phone outright. I'm also thinking of the big 4…
    iPhone 5S
    Samsung S4
    Nexus 5
    HTC one

As a iPhone 3GS to Samsung S2 user it's tough, I have really grown to love, hate and tolerate my Samsung phone and so am scared to go back to apple and scared to continue down the android road.

It's subjective and although everyone tries to make it otherwise it really comes down to the way you use your smartphone.

I am TRSing it as well woot!

    • I think you're overlooking Xperia Z or Z1. It is the same hardware as a One or S4, same class of phone but cheaper. And it also includes an SD slot.

The Z1 actually has the Snapdragon 800 from the Note 3 and it's battery is 3000 mah which is significantly more than the S4 (2600) and One (2300), and almost as much as a Note 3's (3200).

    • The best/worst (depending on how you look at it) thing about iOS is that they've taken on the days of our lives philosophy, if someone has been away for 3 years and they want to go back everything is slightly updated but really exactly how it was left.

iOS7 may have been a massive update, but on the outside it just looks like updated buttons and quicker way to access settings.

      • Good analogy. A company attracting tech dummies would be crazy to make too many changes.

  • Anyone know what's the nexus 5's battery life like compared to the 5S? Is there a big difference?

Can't really ignore the fact that iPhone5s is doing well. How long now since release and still no stock! Virgin can't even give me a good deal because they have none.

I have thought about switching but I really hate the non user friendly android. It is very complicated People tell me give it a week but anything that takes that long is too complicated. I never needed a user manual for iPhone. It's so intuitive. Then most ppl I know switch back which makes me even more worried.

I love the fact that it has good re-sale and is easy to sell but I hate the crappy plans with new iPhones. More exxy yet less value and data.

Android is good on paper but no matter what you all say, if I swap and I hate it then it's going to be very costly. On the other hand, if I love it then kudos to everyone.

People can all give their opinions but at the end of the day you will be using it. Every 2nd person has one or the another. Test it out, borrow it for a few days and see which one you like best.

      How is it complicated?

      Please enlighten us.

      • Is it so hard to accept that some people prefer iOS?

  • How about the Moto G?

    • It's not even remotely in the same league as those already being considered.

      • It's cheap :) You can get three.

Okay, silliness aside, I wonder how likely it will be to be rooted.

  • I've had my S4 for around 4 months now and considering going back to iPhone as I'm finding it's just slightly too big for my personal preference

    • The size is a fair comment, but it's obviously something else that's making you consider going back to iPhone, as there are plenty of iPhone-size Android devices around (S4 Mini springs to mind). But you specifically say back to iPhone.

So out of curiosity, what features of Android are bugging you?

Not starting a war, but being an iPhone->Android convert a very long time ago (think HTC Desire), I would never consider going back to iPhone so there MUST be something about Android you don't like/cant get used to?

And if you do go back, wanna give me a good price on your S4? LOL

I just say iPhone because that's what I was using for 4 years before this phone, I'm definitely no Apple fanboy or anything - there's stuff I like in each platform. It's really more of a familiarity thing for me i guess, but i do like that ios is simplistic in usability - I don't really need to much in a smartphone tbh. Is the S4 mini a decent phone? I thought they had lesser specs which is why I didn't go for that one.

And I might chuck it up on OzB classifieds ;) What price would be fair to ask for it? Bought it from Vodafone so it's local warranty and everything (i9505)
