Pay a little bit more to get new one from Binglee:

Extra $80 brand new with 2 years warranty yes please. Probably haggle them to lower the price too

  • are these power efficient compared to say a dedicated aircon or central air con?

thinking of hooking one up to cool my desktop via a tube

the ambient temperature in my room is too high

    • If You can install a proper aircon, then without doubt do that.

these are power inefficient, loud and wont cool nearly as much as you'd want. Its mainly for renters who cant modify interior etc

      • I own one of these units. Yes is cools a large room. It's a great air conditioner (for a portable AC). But it is terribly inefficient and noisy (compared to a professionally installed AC).

Sorry Rep - I haven't seen any good deal from 2nds World in recent times (except this one)

I'm sure you can come up with decent deals in near future

These are normally $1400ish… so an incredible price.. especially heading into summer..

    I have this exact model.
Last summer it cooled our bedroom to a nice and comfortable 22deg even on 40 deg days

Don't bother if you can't sleep with noise.. as the water is need for maximum cooling and it sounds like a small waterfall when running

    • RRP may be $1400, but the most expensive one that comes up using getprice is $1144 so i don't think the $1400 price is a good guide.
      I think $900 is a better guide.

  • 80$ cheap from new??

      $130…

      • So what? 16% would be the minimum expected discount for a second hand, scratched and refurbished item, what is the "bargain" here? Especially from a store with your reputation.
