Yep, usually you pay at the counter, and they give you a receipt with a number on it that you enter- at least that's how most of the ones I've used work (not sure about Coles one- will test it out this week :)).

@skinny: im quiet sure it will work. having worked at coles express for a number of yrs i know that they will do the $5 thing manually. at the most flybuys will just wonder how you got the voucher at the end of the month!
