    edit: Worked right after signing up, thanks op.

    • Did you register a new account?

      • +1

        yeah, realised that without signing up it won't work heh. working beautifully right now- - thanks.

  • Any idea what is the dimension of the hard disks inside this case ? Wondering if it's height is 9.5mm?

    • Pretty sure the drive is soldered on USB, so you can't reuse it as a sata drive.

      • Damn there goes the PS3 idea.

    • L = 4.4 in. (111 mm)
      W = 3.2 in. (82.4 mm)
      H = 0.82 in. (21 mm)

      • Was after the dimension of the drive inside the case. Thanks though.

        If it was possible to crack this open from the case and put it in my PS3 that would be my main driver to purchase it.

        • Im looking, but from memory i have opened the 1tb version and it was soldered. Regardless its a 5400rpm drive. Id go faster with a PS3 but that's just me.

        • Read a few forums PSX scene etc about how it's actually better to go the 5400rpm vs the 7200rpm for the PS3. I can't remember the rational but it made sense at the time.

          At the moment priority is storage vs speed.

          Might just need to save up for a Hitachi 1.5TB 2.5inch.

        • I believe all western digitals are soldered to the usb.

        • Apologies for being noob, but is it possible to just unsolder the drive from the USB? Would it still work or is the connector different all together?

  • Internal drive speed is 5400rpm.

  • been sitting on wanting to buy another portable HD…just bit the bullet, thanks OP.

  • As part of the sale they have on, I picked up 32GB Nexus 7 (2013) and this drive for $388 delivered.
