Internet Security - better security / cheaper alternatives?

I have been using Norton Anti Virus security as long as I can remember. In the past I have just renewed the subscription each year. I find that Norton 360 (3 PCs) expensive at $99.99 compared with others . Is there any better security on the market for less? My renewal is due in November and I thought I would see if there was any better and cheaper available.

  • I just downloaded Avast for free, was previously using AVG. Microsoft Essentials also get good reviews

For free ones, I'd recommend Avast!
For paid ones, I'd go with Kaspersky.

  • Last January I paid $50 for norton 360 with $50 cash back so, at the end it was free and I find it alright. Just look around and I think u can get it cheaper with some promotion again.

  • Westpac still offers Bitdefender for free. If you have an account or know somebody with an account. Just log in and go to security.

  • I would suggest Comodo Internet security and it is free. It is one of the best free ones out there.
