According to Camel highest price was $125.95USD.. my mate told me he paid $325USD from amazon.. not so sure how accurate Camel is then

Between Camel and your mate i'd pick Camel.

Also, it's a known fact that Invicta RRP is stupidly ridiculous.

I mustn't have gotten that memo that required all OzBargain members to have an avowed hatred for Casio watches and in particular their G-Shock line.

Seriously, it's comical the way angry posters pour of the woodwork anytime anyone in any shape of form brings up Casio watches as an alternative to over-priced, brand-name analogue chronographs that have not changed function or form wise since the mid-1970's:

It's like people are so obviously insecure about squandering thousands of dollars on timepieces, when they know they're not getting anything more than a brand name at that price, that they feel the need to ridicule anyone who wears a sensibly-priced, sub-$300 dollar watch that has more functionality and a longer lifespan than any +$5,000 Tag Heuer or Rolex.

"Mate of mines wife bought him this last year for the full price." Your mates wife wasted about $400 bucks. You're nuts to pay over about 120 for an Invicta.

they are always that cheap. never a deal, imo

WOW! look so much like a Rolex Daytona …

Looks nice, but the quality is crap!!!

I have the Speedway and the Pro Diver (0077).
The Speedway was about$60 from Amazon, the Pro Diver $108 from Ebay.

While the Pro Diver is nice (huge) solid watch, the Speedway literally fell apart after a couple of weeks.
Not the wristband but the inside of the actual watch!!!!

Would not bother wasting one cent on it again.

    Warranty??!!
You have to pay them upfront to even look at their faulty product.
This plus the shipping costs already exceed the replacement price!!!!

    From their webiste:
Include a Copy of your purchase invoice with the date on it.
Include a money order issued to Invicta Service Center for the amount of $28.00(for S&H).
Include a note describing the malfunction, as well as an email address for swifter response times.
Include a return address, daytime telephone number and e-mail address.
Be sure to insure the watch with the shipper.
If your watch is not cover under INVICTA warranty, you will be charged for the repair cost.
We warrant each repair for one year. The warranty applies to that repair only.
Prices do not include sales tax.
Please DO NOT include your Gift Box when sending in your watch for service. It will not be returned.
Failure to make prior payment arrangements will result in a return of an unrepaired watch.

So while some of their watches are quite nice (for the "reduced" price) I would not bother buying one at full price and you have to be aware that it is a gamble after all….

Somebody paid full price for an Invicta??? LOL!!!

These things are like Turkish rugs…always on runout deals with CRAZY!! discounts, it is how they market their product, dream up a crazy RRP and then say it is on 70% discount and charge what it should be worth. I wont neg but seriously, prob OK if you like the styling for a cheap watch but don't expect a Patek at a Timex price!!

    • Who the hell in their right mind would buy a Patek worth the price of a decent V6 sedan in the first place?

  • This is no deal. Invicta have hugely inflated RRP and offer fake discounts - they were once a good watch brand (which is how they price their BS rrp now), but they went broke and the company was bought and now makes cheap and not so great quality watches.. these posts on ozb are a pet peeve of mine.

    • I agree with you. Invicta is no longer a Swiss brand but owned by an american investment/marketing company. Uses a Japanese Quartz Movt and could be maufactured anywhere. The company does not state where the watches are manufactured. It is target for retail environments that offer huge discounts on highly inflated RRP's. Excellent profit margins etc. Also sold at Duty Free, inflight duty free shopping, Online Group Buying Websites. Similar to Pierre Cardin. Once upon a time these were good brands but no longer. Rather buy a Casio for a few dollars more.
