Even with 20% off your watches are 30-40% more expensive than if i was to order from America :(
Yeah, exactly. I bought a Fossil JR1437 for $140 shipped via Fed-Ex. Regular USPS would have brought it down to $110. I understand that Australian stores find it difficult to compete with the U.S, but even the regular price for this store (e.g. JR1353 - www.justwatches.com.au/process/shop/index.php?process=shop/p…) is about the same price as the Fossil shop at Melbourne Central. That same watch goes for about 90USD at MrWatch.com.
Considerably cheaper options elsewhere. I looked at the Seiko SRP167K as an example:
On their website here: http://www.justwatches.com.au/shop/product/item158949/seiko-… for $475, less 20% = $380
Elsewhere:
http://www.creationwatches.com/products/search/results.html?… $166 Creationwatches with Free shipping!!! Creationwatches have a good reputation on watchuseek, they don't sell fakes and frankly I doubt the pirates even make copy Seikos!!
Or this one, Seiko SKZ330K http://www.justwatches.com.au/shop/product/item158741/seiko-… here at $795 less 20% = $636
At a different but reliable supplier with a good reputation on the Watchuseek boards http://www.skywatches.com.sg/reviews/catalogsearch/result/?q… $206.45 (+$5 shipping).
The suppliers I have mentioned are not selling fakes, I have bought from one of them in the past and they have a good reputation on the Watchuseek community.
Yeah from what I've read, you're a sucker to buy a watch from any Australian supplier, much cheaper to find a reputable overseas vendor that doesn't charge an astronomical mark-up.
Creationwatches have a good reputation on watchuseek, they don't sell fakes and frankly I doubt the pirates even make copy Seikos!!
You'd be surprised what the counterfeiters will tackle these days… there are even copies of the Casio F91W, which retails for less than $30. That being said, Creation have a great reputation and I'm currently wearing an Eco-Drive I purchased from them a couple of years back.
even compared to other Australian online store, with the 20% disc it is still more expensive.
http://www.justwatches.com.au/shop/product/item178445/eco-dr… $319.2 (after disc)
http://www.starjewels.com.au/citizen-ladies-eco-drive-dress-… $299They seem to be selling at RRP :(
Not a single smart watch :(
