    Vinager spray does repel those annoy thing too, of course if you don't mind the smell which will goes away in 20sec. Under $3 you can get a 2L bottle bargain!

        or you can get a bottle of eucalyptus, mix some with water, then use it as spray. The smell is good too.

    Vinegar certainly wouldn't work for sandflies (midges / midgies) and the like, as it attracts them.
