Title is not as racist as Agatha Christie's ten little "n words"

" less than 10 quantity of items is not enough for a deal unless the item has a high price."

    • I could have sworn it used to be 5. Though what's your definition of high price? Under your definition the ken's outdoors barbecues wouldn't count as a deal. Either way, marked it as expired

Other costco stores around the country could have stock, still worth the post I think

BigW sell them for $50, or $40 for the Secret Seven. They are paperback, but they come in a hardcover box.
As a parent, I can't recommend these books enough for younger kids (up-to about 10 years old).

Please note: I heard the famous five books were banned at one stage because Georgie was accused of being a lesbian ;) I just LOVE political correctness!!! (note: sarcasm detected).

      That never happened.

These, along with the Hardy Boys and the Secret Seven, were my favourite stories as a kid. Will definitely have to pick them up for the little one to read when s/he gets bigger.

Secret Seven are quite good, went through them all with my youngest…
Then we started on the Famous Five…
We got through 5 books I think.
They are all the same story.
"A person who is nice comes along…
    Their keeper/relative/boss is seemingly ok…
    Turns out they are not…
The "famous five" are trapped by the bad person
in an underground situation by the bad guy(s)…
The bad guy head underground and gets lost/trapped…
One of them escapes and alerts the police… (usually the dog)
    The bad person(s) are jailed…
The nice person is adopted and/or freed…
The holiday is declare a success and everyone drinks ginger beer."

    • I hope you have seen Five Go Mad In Dorset… YouTube it if not.

and when the wings get cut off the chair … made me so sad as a kid!!
(you can't say its spoilers on a 60 year old book)
