  • Was that your review on the website? The rack looks alright and I wonder if the bikes are easily to demount too, especially if they are large bikes.

  • Nope as I have only just ordered it

    • The price is showing as 42.95+ shipping now

is entirely freestanding for easy setup.

Note: Bike rack must be positioned against a wall.

Does anyone else find this inconsistent?

    • I suppose they mean it leans against the wall, just in case?

Not sure where you got the ebay price from, I've been looking at getting one of these for a while

    Ebay is $37 + $12 postage.

This is regular price, not a bargain.

    • I wouldn't say its the regular price. That retailer has a 30% off that expires in two days. but yes, for the moment it is a better deal.

      • When I was looking at these a month ago it was the same price, I suspect it's one of those sales that keeps renewing.

Has anyone used one of these specific racks? I wasn't sure how well they actually work, which is why I haven't bought one yet.

    • And the ebay link is to Crazysales ebay store (by another name) and was cheaper again for 2 of these (4 bikes) with reduced postage on the second item.
      Thanks hellbound

Pretty good price for one of these.

I have one and it works a treat. Bought it for $60, shipped, roughly 2.6 years ago.

Easy enough to put bikes on and to remove them. I also added foam stick-on pads to the hooks to protect the paint jobs on the bikes.

One thing that I think you should know though, while they are advertised as 'free standing', they definitely NEED to be up against a wall. AND I would definitely fix them to the wall as I never felt they were stable enough without fixing. I had a rental too, so that was a concern. But it was just 1 (8mm) hole at about 2M high. Easy enough to plug and paint if you needed to. My landlord wasn't fussed at all.

"roughly 2.6 years ago"? exactly paradox!

I've got one in my garage. It fits my 19" Giant XTC1 and 55.5 cm Avanti Roadie (ie. Two average adult sized bikes) without much fuss. Brother gave it to me for Xmas. I might pick up a second for the missus's bikes. It does need a wall behind it, as if it has no bikes on it, it will fall backward.

    Just FYI.

    • if it has no bikes on it, it will fall backward.

      Thanks.

  • Saw these in Bunnings the other day but I am unsure how much they were selling them for.

    • I've currently got one the Bunnings ones. I used to have one of the ones listed by the OP. The OP's one is much better. Alot sturdier. I'm tempted to buy one of these to replace the one I got from Bunnings.
I'm kicking myself for donating this away when I went overseas for a year. It's a great piece of kit.

  • expired?

coming up as a higher price now.
