  • How's the speed for this baby? For 16gb I'd want fairly decent speeds.

    • Very fast read/write speed (15MB/s read, 9MB/s write)

      • Quoted speeds seem good but finding an independant review would be useful too. My Lexar JumpDrive Lightning II gets about 25MB/s writing and 30MB/s read, so this is still fairly slow in comparison - but a great price.

EDIT: And take it to Officeworks for price match and 5% discount, HT/Officeworks are part of the same umbrella - shouldn't be any problem.

      • I wouldn't call that fast

  • wow that's cheeap. i bought a 16gb sandisk micro standard (non titanium) with price match for $54

    • +1

This time, get a price match at officework for $62.7 Titanium version.

  • You'll want to pick it up - $76 delivered….

  • how do u pricematch it?
do u just like print out the page and go up to officeworks and go to the dude at the counter and go "OI GIVE ME 5% OFF THIS"?
or do i hafta like print the quote out or something?

    • I can post my receipt if you need that to price match.

    • OW staff only need to verify the HT price on
the link to the HT deal for a price match.
I've done the same thing a number of times at 2 Brisbane OWs.
As long as they're happy that the price is genuine and in stock, there's no problem with OW in my experience.

      • Yes, pretty easy with pricematch at OW especially with HT. Just show them the HT printout. OW is the parent of HT so they wouldn't bother with check for stock at HT.

    • +1

I did exactly that!. $62.70. Luv the titanium feel and top quality.

  • Hi have the 8GB titanium and it writes pretty fast IMHO. Don't know the specs, but it is one of the faster ones on the market. Great price too. I bought mine 5 months ago for $60.

    Cheers

  • I just price matched a Sandisk Cruzer Contour 8gb for $44 from Organizer World and got it for $41.80 from OfficeWorks.
Will have to be quick and go to OfficeWorks by Monday as HT will be sold out by then.

  • good find. +1

  • I travel a lot. Will I need to pull this out of my pocket when I go through airport security because of the Titanium metal. I really don't want to be losing it during that confusing time while they xray you when you are about to board.

    • I'm more worried about handing over all my keys than I would be about a pen drive…

      • +1

Yeah, true. Also passport and other valuables. But I don't want an extra thing to worry about while fumbling around and getting my belt on, putting my shoes on and repacking my laptop.

  • This item available for "online only" at OW!

    • OfficeWorks also has a "Lexar 16GB JumpDrive Firefly Red USB Drive" for $49.95

      hmm…

  • In older reviews Cruzer Titanium has always been in the top one or 2 for read and write speeds. It's a premium product and you (normally) pay a premium price. But you get the best Flash drive available in terms of longevity and electronics. My 512Mb Cruzer Ti drive from about 6 years ago is still going strong, physically and electronically, as opposed to my Corsair Flash Voyager GT which lasted about 8months in the demanding environment of my pockets on my keyring..

  • I got the 4gb version and it's excellent. But I'm craving faster read/write speeds, so I might spring for the Sandisk 16GB Cruzer Contour USB Drive instead (read 25mb/s and write 18mb/s). Currently about $99 at Officeworks, but should be able to price match $83 (less 5%) at i-Store.
