Saw this on deals direct seems like a good deal because you can use bitTorrent on it, does anyone know if you can play .mkv files on it and what does it mean at the bottom

    It's $189 now. Maybe it's meant to read 'This media player does not support H.264 encoded .mkv files'. Not sure if an .mkv file can be encoded in H264. I was under the impression it was one or the other, but I'm not that up on codecs.

    mkv is just the container. You can have any codec inside it, including h.264 (or even mpeg).

    dont know if i should buy this or the wd tv any advice i mainly want it to play hd mkv files
