Mwave SanDisk 128GB Ultra Plus SSD $85 and $5 Shipping (Group Buy)

130

128 gb drive equitant to samsung 840 (not Pro) level drive in performance.
It should be similar to the Intel 3 series and other likes of Kingston V300 series in chipset.

Unlike the new 840 EVO series, which is the next gen of the 840, this Sandisk drive does not use TLC, it is MLC which in theory has better life span.

I'd never buy again from MWAVE even if they were free…

    • why is that?

Agreed waiting for rma, then chasing them up, then having to work direct with vendor because they are useless. Dont get me started on the supposed retails store.

totally agree, warranty issues and then they expect you to pay their absurd shipping costs twice. THe only reason I saw this post was because my account wasn't logged in, otherwise MWave deals are usually hidden by default, I suggest you do the same.

      • I do not trust Mwave and their dodgy warranty service which is very unreliable. Their customer service staff at the front counter is very rude and do not have any customer service skills.

I don't trust mwave either, but come on. If it's free, you'll take it. Unless it blows up on you, you have nothing to lose.

This is a 'group buy' which still isn't active apparently :/

Also Welcome but make sure u have $ signs in ur title :)

  • I think his iPad has no numeric symbols. No $ or even a % in the description.

He should have switched to *droid :-)

  • What's 2 credit charge

    • When you pay by credit card, you need to pay 2% more of your total order price.

  • 530MB/s R & 290MB/s W

writes are a bit low but most non performance ssds are like that these days

  • Tempted, I have a smaller SSD in my PC that is almost full (have a couple actually), Rather than the continual purging to try and find space I am wondering how easy it would be to put one of these in and them move the OS across to it once in.

    • Very easy, there are good cloning programs if you don't have time for a fresh install

    • Use Acronis. Create a clone of your SSD, then restore the clone onto the new SSD.

  • Sold out (ozbargained)
