Fully i dont know about best buys, I went there in july after a friend told me about it. Its totally in the hood in eagleby. It's a shopping experience thats for sure. Worth the trip just for the entertainment value.

They have some good stuff, but alot of bad stuff, stuff so out of date they probably couldn't give it for goodwill. Be careful with their refrigerated items, when I was there the fridges were not running so all the cheese, milk products, yogurt and meats and creams were at room temp. Some petrie dish cheese action going on. The mozella was like goo. This fridge failure may have been an isolated incident though. Its a different world there.

There was some good stuff though, everything was well past use-by date. We got some of the magnum 6 packs which were the best deal. There was some of that LaFamilga garlic bread at 50c a lot which I though would be deep frozen - as it was 3 months past use by. But it was just refridged. I bought 4 breads and actually they were ok, must be heaps of preservatives. Also stuff in foil was okay, like a got a carton of oreos (16pks) for $3 and as they were in foil they are quite good.

Fully its a real ozbargain experience, that's for sure. My wife waited in the car and there was no danger of her putting the windows down.

Maybe the nerang store would be a little better, im not saying don't go there though, just be mindful of what your buying and what the date is and the type of product that would handle that time on the shelf.

  • What I have seen of Nerang store cheap but not a huge variety some best before dates only had a month to go, but it wasn't the norm.
