  • e-coupon “AUEPPCART180409” not working

    • Easy way is to just go through motions to and buy the unit.. eg: recommended T400 with HD3470, but remove the TFT LCD and get the better backlit one instead.. it's $254 cheaper! Then on final screen there is a link on the right:

      Special Online Offer. Today Only.
Save up to an additional 20% when you buy online. Act now to get these savings!
      Full offer details
      Activate this eCoupon

Click on "Activate this eCoupon" will apply "AUEPPCART180409" and bring the T400 down to $1399. An excellent price. A post-easter Easter egg? There is no 4 week wait for the WXGA LCD with LED backlighting..but there is for the WXGA+ LED backlit one.. costs a lot more too!

      • I can't get it to work. Specced it up and tried the coupon code it didn't work. 7:18pm Wed 15 April.

        • It still works. Main point is use the EPP website http://lenovo.com/au/epp , select T400, select the recommended model on the RIght (more expensive with ATI 3470 graphics). Select the WXGA w b/led LCD display (subtract $254). Click continue a couple of times. At final checkout click the button "Activate this eCoupon", ie:

Then will add up to $1398.xx. If that button doesn't work, check javascript settings and/or another system.

  • 4 week wait for the LED backlit screen. However, having received mine after that excruciating waiting time, it was worth it :)

  • Is this a sale that Lenovo have regularly?

  • A comparable unit would be the BenQ Joybook S42 for about $1299~ with 14.1" LCD w/ LED BL, P8600, switchable 9600GT/X4500, 320GB HDD.. faster CPU, but worse battery life, and probably faster GPU.

    • Only problem is finding a BenQ S42. BenQ are no longer bringing in new stock. S42 was in major demand because nothing else offers switchable graphics at that price point. Except for today only.. the T400. Yep, not as fast GPU as S42, but a better engineered unit with 'freak of nature' battery life. 7+hrs. That is usually reserved for ultraportables using LV/ULV processors. At $1399 it's crazy cheap for this sort of gear.

      • Yes hard to deny that Lenovo come out with some very impressive notebooks, even their S10 netbook is quite nice.

  • +1

    great, just bought a t400 :)

  • Very satisfied S41 owner here looking at the S42, but you can't customise screens so you're stuck with a 1280x800 display. On top of that the Lenovo has 6 and 9 cell battery option so I'm going to get a T400 or 500 just comparing them now.

  • Sweet just ordered a T500 with all the fruit (inc 3G card) for $1993

  • just bought one. over 50% off. excellent deal cheers

  • Thank you ruraro!! Just got a T400 with this coupon code for $1384. May i ask a question though? What does it mean that the link says "australian employee purchase program"? What will make me qualify for it legitimately?

EDIT: Lenovo just emailed me saying shipment will be delayed to late May. I personally dont mind this too much, but anyone else got this problem?

    "This is Kathy from Lenovo.
We're really regret to inform you that we got a serious supply constraint on one of the part for the computer your ordered, which will not come until Mid of May. Your order will not be shipped out until late May. If you can wait for it, we'll put your order on high priority later; Or in alternative, we can help you to cancel the order as per your request.
    Pls advise. "

She said it was the LED WXGA LCD, which was delayed. no configuration change allowed.
