It's blocked due to Warranty/Exchange purposes. You'll have to use a third party like http://www.priceusa.com.au/ or http://www.shipito.com/ to get them. Only problem is the cost after delivery charges may not justify the expense. Is the card not available through MSY or PCCG?

  • Certain things (actually a lot of things) are quite a steal if you're buying from Amazon and using a freight forwarder. I recently saved over $180 when I bought 2 pairs of sunglasses from Amazon and shipped it over here using a freight forwarder. In all I paid $350 (including shipping and administrative charges) while the local price was ~$530.

Cyphar is partly correct regarding the Warranty/Exchange processes being the reason for the lockdown on shipping destinations. The bigger reason is the "exclusive" agreements that distributors have with different manufacturers which often-times results in artificially inflated pricing that is a hallmark of the Australian retail industry. The monopoly by distributors and price-fixing are the reasons why retail is dying here. It's quite an unfortunate situation.

For e.g. an EVGA GTX Titan Superclocked edition would cost the equivalent of AUD1070 in the US. However most retailers over here would be selling it for 1300+shipping. Considering that freight-forwarder would cost $8.50+$50 (3 day shipping) it would still save you around $200. However, there is the issue of warranty. For some things like EVGA cards, they are supposed to have global warranty, so that is not much of a concern. However, for other items, it may not be worth the savings if the warranty/RMA process involves incurring significant expenses.

  • if you are prepared to not worry about the warranty, then use this forwarder http://www.forwardit.us/

he only charges $10.00 for the service, plus your option of different postage types.
I have been very happy with this service, and I think his service charge is extremely reasonable.

Just a tip when searching Amazon too - there is a search option down the left hand column
    "International Shipping" AmazonGlobal Eligible
Tick that and it will only show items that they will ship overseas.

  • I have been happy with www.comgateway.com

    Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB - $209US
Ordered this, after $20US postage and taking the exchange rate to AU it will cost me about $250 delivered to my door

Seems good enough for a cheapo gaming machine at 22" 1080P

FYI the rest of the budget box from MSY is
    Patriot Signature 4GB Single DDR3-1600 PSD34G160081 $40.00 x2 $80.00
    Gigabyte B85M-HD3 Intel B85M S1150/2xDDR3/1xPCIEx16/SATA3/USB3/HDMI/DVI/D-Sub/GLAN/MicroATX MB $85.00

    Intel BX80646G3220 Pentium G3220 3.0GHz 3MB LGA1150 Haswell Boxed CPU $75

Inc ATX case, HD, DVDRW, wireless kbd/ms with nano receiver & 22" 1080P TV/Screen; all for under $900
thanks to OZBARGINS deals ive been following & collecting over the past months, so HUGE SHOUT out to everyone thats posts!

    • did you apply for rebate?

  • also discovered you can sort items so only ones that can be shipped over seas are displayed… just looked for the best barin as repackers all have to add additional markup & exchange rate that almost always negates the deals value FYI

    • Poor gaming machine - a Pentium with a 7950? You'll be heavily CPU bottlenecked in every single next gen game.

      • No bottleneck but if i find one i can always UG the CPU for nextgen games (if) they are required with hopefully a price drop to sweeten the deal

Personly im pretty anoyed that were still at 2 core, 3-4ghz at these price points. We should be 6-8 cores at 5ghz
