  cant believe they even make you pay to join these sort of things these days. I foolishly signed up to one when I was given "free membership" because I upgraded to a platinum visa.

  They are just a mass marketing scam to dump obscure wines and then bombard you with telemarketing calls trying to get you to buy more and more.

    it says the same but when you go further it is asking for CC detail for membership fee of $99. I believe we can use the code to getaway with $99 but not sure how to use.

  I signed up last year with this free promotion. TBH, it's pretty ordinary. The deals aren't "cheap" and it's a bit of a waste of time really. Yes it's free, but no it's not useful IMHO.
