          Hi Rep,

Any idea or suggestion on how to secure the camera grip for Lumia 1020 at no extra cost?

          Thanks

        • Hi MegaMemory,

We will find out and see how much we can do it for.

          Will keep you posted.

        • that's a really good price for an BlackBerry 10 phone. I really like what they've done with their new OS.

If what david says is true, at least you'll be getting australian stock unlike kogan's deal. not a fan of kogans delivery times.

        • +2

not a fan of kogan at all

        • Hi MegaMemory,

We are sorry we are unable to source the Camera grip ATM.

We will continue to look for it and if it's available we will post it up next.

          thanks,

Blackberry are leaving the consumer market . The Z10 is blackberrys swansong . I wouldn't expect too much support as they are laying off a lot of their developers . If your lucky someone may find a way to load pure android on it .

      • +4

stopping support? misinformation at its finest.
They're about to release the z30 (flagship phone) and seemingly have four more devices on the way. stopping support is far from it. they also have an update on the way in the form of 10.2 and releasing BBM cross-platform.

Pure android? Get an Android nexus smartphone for that pure experience or alternatively there are some nasty low-end chinese knock offs for cheaper. Blackberry 10.2 devices will have android 4.2.2 run-time built in for developers that can port android apps over.

whoever they lay off, its business as usual. businesses don't stop working because they need to trim down.

        http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Apple-layoffs-Painful-but…

back in 97, apple lost almost a billion dollars and laid off 31 percent of their workforce - 4,100 workers - 2,700 full-time employees and 1,400 contract workers - will lose their jobs. business as usual…

        • +2

Blackberry laying off 4500 people which includes most of the r&d department

Expecting to post $1 billion loss for 3 months.. burning cash at $500 million in 3 months

And they are hoaring themselves out but no one willing to buy

Also they dont have steve jobs

        • +2

yeah none of the areas in their organisation is safe - that's what re-structuring does.

Included most of the R&D department? Not sure where you got that from. They cut a few from the R&D and sales department earlier this year but nowhere near that amount (250 employees and I doubt that's most of the R&D department).

most of those losses are from non-cash stock from writing down on the z10 inventory. Definitely bad news for them, on the upside you got a much cheaper decent smartphone to purchase and a positive to wireless1 for providing a good price on local stock for the z10 - which doesn't require BlackBerry internet service (BIS).

On another note, BlackBerry should have totally gone with a gold/champagne z10 edition. ;)

Whoring out? well that's all conjecture at the moment but its a possibility, sure.

oh well, no one has Steve Jobs anymore.

        • Pretty sure he/she could get a phone with MicroSD slot and flash "pure" android on it if they're confident putting it onto Blackberry heh.

The lack of storage really cripples the Nexus series at least for me …

  • Anybody have any opinions on the ASUS K55VD or Asus K55A laptops?

    • my mother in law has a K55A, i suggested her to buy it, cost ~$750 from HN in Jun 2012, was on sale.
you never go wrong with Asus!
The spec is similar to the one we have, besides RAM is 8G, HDD is 750G.
but i dont think the price is that cheap in this deal, however the phones are incredibly cheap!

      • I agree, it's not that cheap.

  • +1

good price on Lumia 1020, no camera grip though but if you don't need it no worries

EDIT: although interesting that the yellow variant has the AT&T logo on the website photo. might wanna change that :P

    • Hi Astro551,

      Thanks for letting us know.

      We will have it change.

Have bought from these guys before and can recommend. Thinking of selling off my htc 8s afrom the telstra deal and grabbing this 8x.

Rep, is the 8x unlocked in box or do we have to use Vodafone's online unlocking service? Also are you guys doing any deals on MacBook Airs soon, I'll need two if the price is right.

    • +1

      Hi ccrap,

The unlock process will be conducted by us. You do not have to worry about unlock code or the unlocking process. It will be shipped to you as unlocked. =)

Please let us know how many people are after Macbook Air deals and which model. 11" or 13", higher end of lower end? We will work closely with our supplier to get ozbargainers good deals.

      • So it is not sealed when we receive it?

        • +2

          Hi PissLUR,

You can email us your order # to [email protected] and let us know if you do not want us to unlock it, we will include the unlock number in your invoice if you prefer to do unlocking yourself.

Please let us know and we can help.

      • I need 2 x 13" MBAs, one high end and one low end - are you able to do deals on built to order ones as well?

I'm guessing there would be lots on ozbargainers keen on an MBA deal given the success of the MegaBuy deals lately.

        • Hi ccrap,

Will keep you posted soon.Stay tuned.

  • Hi rep,
If I order htx 8x can you remove the voda logo on startup and remove all bloatware. Cheers.

  • +1

    Hi Chopel,

I've just tried to turn on the phone, it doesn't have the Vodafone logo when you boot up, it will only show HTC Logo. Confirmed by restarting the phone.

In regards to the Vodafone apps, i've used the search bar to search "vodafone", also can't see any apps relating to Vodafone.

So it's just needs to be unlocked, but it has no Vodafone Logo when started, and there're no Vodafone Apps when searching "voda" or "vodafone".

    Hope that answers your questions.

    • +2

  • +1

    • Hi Joe888,

and the unlock number you supply does NOT work
    what then??
PLEASE reply as very interested in buying one

    thanks

    • Hi costas60,

In the unlikely event if the supplied unlock code doesn't work, please contact us immediately and we will try to troubleshoot it first with you over the phone, if it still can't be unlocked, an replacement will be sent out to resolve the problems. We hope that answers your questions.

If you experience any problems in the future, you can always email to [email protected] and we will try our best to attend to the problem

      • I ordered one last night
and emailed to email address that you replied to person above

just bought 8x. great price ….thanks

  • +1

Great price, should check it out, bring out more unbeatable deals please~~~

  • Quick delivery… Thanks op…. 8x exceeded my expectation by miles…… Bought one for my wife as I have Iphone 4S… This thing is miles ahead in Screen clarity and speed…

  • Finally got the HTC 8X today. But the screen is a lot yellower when I looks on the left side than the right side(http://i42.tinypic.com/10mo1f8.jpg,http://i39.tinypic.com/wt90eb.jpg) Contact wireless1 FB,the guy said it is not a defect.Disappointed:(

    • wow that's bit worry

    • Just got my 8X today; mine does the same thing when looking at it from extreme angles. I don't think it's a defect, rather a cause of the Super-LCD2 that HTC used with it. Beyond that, how often do you look at your phone from an 80 degree angle?

  • Can I still come into the store and still get the HTC 8x for $219?
