Sony MDR-XB400 headphones are marked down to $29.96 at Costco Docklands. Seemed to be about 4 colours in stock. Black, white, pink and purple.

Hardly Normal and JB are selling these for $69.95

Officeworks are selling them for $49.88

They get favorable reviews on Amazon as well.

For $29.96 at Costco I don't think you can go wrong and with their returns policy it's a no brainer.

Can confirm they are at costco canberra, i got them when they were $39.99. use them for the comp, very good for the price

Repping this because its a good price. Unfortunately, don't have any costcos near me. Also can anyone give a synopsis of the MDRV55 vs MDRXB400 vs MDRZX600

  I actually preferred the cheaper ZX600 over the V55, they sound very similar, but the ZX600 sounded clearer and well balanced whereas the V55 had more bass, but to my ears sounded muddier. You can usually test them at JB's.

BIG W have the MDR-XB200 for $12 in store and online. There were quite a few at some Big Ws I went to today.

They are quite inferior to this and have been BOGOF or similar before. Check ozbargain previous threads for reviews. For $12 they seem OK though.

How are these compared to these Philips dowtown http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/115046 ? I got these Sony ones from an IPod through redemption but never have a chance to try them out et.

  I have the Downtowns from that sale, MDRV55, MDRZX600 are better, but not by much, can't comment on MDRXB400.
