Injustice for Xbox 360 - Free from Xbox Live Store with a Costa Rica Account!

170

Looks like a pricing error on the Xbox Live Costa Rica store.

Injustice is currently free. Great game, for this price I would heartily recommend it!

Here are some instructions on how to go about this kind of region swapping business:

  1. On your computer make a new Windows Live account with Costa Rica as your region (an Outlook address is easiest).

  2. On your Xbox make a new profile, again with Costa Rica as your region.

  3. Use the Outlook address when you have to enter an email.

  4. Go to the tab that lets you press Y to search.

  5. Search for Injustice. The first thing on the list should be the full game. Click download and make sure the file size is 7.8 gigs or thereabouts.

  6. On your computer go to the Xbox account migration page. Sign in with the email address you created in step 1 and change your region to Australia.

  7. Signing in to the account migration page probably booted you out of your Xbox profile, so go back to your Xbox and sign in again. You should see the AUS storefront and the game should still be in your download queue.

NOTE: I posted this deal before actually trying this for myself. Plenty of people have been claiming it works though, but surely it won't last long.

EDIT: Costa Rica store no longer works, but Slovakia does.

EDIT 2: Ikaruga is also there for free!

It's just a fighting game, right?

  • I got an error when trying to download it
    "Status code: 80153003"

  • good post but really cant be bothered to setup a new account…

  • +2

I don't have an option to download? It just has two tiles for "rate" or "pin to home"
EDIT: Seem's like Costa Rica doesn't work anymore. Slovakia apparently does.

Great call mate. Switched to Slovakia and got it

      • Yep, I got it sitting in download queue now.
If anyone can answer this, if I play on another Xbox 360, would I have to sign into my Slovakian account to re-download the game? If so, I better keep the email/password safe.

Thanks for that! I updated the OP

    • I am consistently getting error code 80153016 after I switched the Costa Rica account to Slovakia :( Did you create a new account using Slovakia or switched region?

      • I created a new account.
I think the deal is currently hit or miss? Seems like its working for some but not for others

  • +1

Note: it is 7.80GB in size!!

    • that is in the OP's post

Ikaruga is free as well. ;)

    • Indeed it is. Makes me wonder what else is free?

  • When I try to download, it says "Sorry, there's a problem with the Xbox service. Try again later." Status code: 80153016.

    Any idea why?

    • I just setup a Slovakia account and I'm getting the same message.

      • Ikaruga works, just downloaded that for free. But Injustice not working, get that message above.

  • Keeps asking me for credit card details :(

  • Where do you click on the page to get the game i cant see a link to buy the game

  • So this was a waste of time.? I logged in and none of the links worked from when the poster first put it up.

    • You have to download it via the console itself, not the website. Have you tried that?

      • Yes error 80153016

  • Heh, they actually removed the game.

  • Does anyone have a weblink please?

    • Doesn't work either
Removed entirely from the Costa and Error 80153016

      Thanks for posting anyway OP

frustrating having created a new account and not got anywhere. Pity I actually wouldnt have minded getting this game.

      • ok. thanks.

  • Given that Microsoft ended up banning people who took advantage of this, I am glad I missed out on this deal!
