Hey Guys,
I received this deal in my email and thought it was pretty good. They say that the RRP was $249 but that just sounds ridiculous! On static ice the cheapest I found it was $149.
The link above gives all the specs.

It most likely has a WD or Seagate inside it:
Good question. I personally have never purchased a Buffalo brand before so don't know from any 1st hand experience. Maybe someone here has used these before? Or know if Buffalo is a trusted brand to buy??
Buffalo was a Japanese brand and later expanded into USA. They are big brand in Japan and is as good/trustworthly as WD/Seagate/Toshiba/ASUS …etc. As Buffalo also manufacture network equipements.
They are good. Since buffalo only produces the enclosure, the HDD is most likely a WD or Seagate or something else.
I have been using Buffalo for more than 10 years and personally I found they are much better build than the external drives built by WD or Seagate.
I have 3 2TB at home, been using them for about 6 months, no issues at all.
$126.95 a couple of months ago - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/110450
If you bought it a couple of months ago then you are better off. If not, then it is available now for an extra $3 :)
EDIT: Must also remember that our dollar has come down significantly in the last couple of months too which greatly affects the price or potential cheaper price.
yep, sorry, I wasn't making a judgement call on this deal. I was just sure I'd seen it elsewhere and when I saw it was there (but different) I just put the info here.
All good :)
SE will be having a deal on seagate 3t this sunday, usb3 so my guess is that its going to be a 7200rpm barracuda xt for $119
What's SE?
$119 + $14 shipping = $133
Or you could pay $219 at JB Hifi http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/computers-laptops/computer-ac…
Wow, this is crazy good, especially with the Australian dollar dropping, it is so much cheaper than JB!
Is Buffalo a good brand as far as the actual disks go? I'm not familiar with the name and normally go with WD/Seagate as they're really trusted names.
