Found some on sale from $29 to $10 at Bunnings Villawood.
Bought one as backup for next winter. There was 1 pallet on the floor when I bought mine yesterday afternoon.

That's a very generalist statement. These type of heaters can still be efficient when used in an appropriate way. For example, I live in a well insulated home where my son's room generally only dips down to 13 - 15C at night. Having a heater like this on a timer for a few hours a night (say 1am - 4am) on a moderate to low heat setting keeps his room at a nice temperature without having to turn the central heating on. Since off peak electricity is cheaper as well, it becomes an even more attractive proposal.

That's a very generalist statement. Not everyone has off-peak meters, which means same price 24/7.

Well, it will soon happen when the Smart Meter Rollout complete. Starting from 15-Sep, utility retailer will roll out Flexible Pricing so if you have Smart Meter you can opt for it.
Is this at all Bunnings?
All bunnings have the heaters on clearance. It's Spring.
