  • i'm waiting for the comments to pile in

  • I use my 10 inch iPad as a phone.

  • This sounded really stupid.
But then I googled what it actually was (i'll admit i had no idea).
A 5 inch phone that fits into a 10 inch screen for when you want to have a tablet. Kinda cool and I do want a new phone and a new tablet…….

    Non removeable battery
    No card slot on phone
    Snap 600

    :(

Nexus 5 first before considered…..I have 64GB Infinity tablet already

    • No card slot is a negative.
But Nexus 5 probs won't have a card slot either, considering that all previous Nexus devices haven't had one.
I'm wishfully hoping that Google change their mind on this though.

      • It never will. Nexus phones are released at low costs to pump traffic in google servers and increase media sales from play store. SD cards defeats google's vision of everything on the cloud through their servers.

    • +3

      Non removeable battery

On the other hand, there is a removable phone…

  • really can't think of who would like to buy this type of phone/tablet.
i think price need to below 500 before anyone will interest

btw, bought a Note 2 4g from them before, very quick delivery ;-)

    • I've actually considered this as a uni student - for note taking and long days at uni will drain phone battery, the docking station itself actually can provide extra charge. I do find it pricey, and unfortunate no decent plans on it yet, but it's market is somewhat aimed at synchronising or unifying tablets and phones. The price i can see is reasonable, been watching it to drop below $600 for a couple of months now.

      • For synchronization, all you need is just Evernote app ;-)

Just want to point out that most people put their phone in a case for protection and if you are one of us, you may find that it is not that convinence.
also i think that you need to plugin you phone in order to use your tablet as well.

The only benefit i can see is able to uSe What's App on a tablet :)

      • TBH i've tried android for uni (Gnote and note 10). Android is for media consumption, not creation, it's a pita to use. Buy a windows tablet with wacom support or similar and use One note. It's just as good as writing on a book.

  • i don't understand why it's consistently priced above the cost for a stand-alone tablet and phone.. they would have so many more customers if it was priced 200 less even with some trade-offs

    • well i think it's expensive but for standalone 5" fullhd display phone with 64GB storage and 10" tablet the cost would be close. Remember it's 64GB storage not 16GB or 32GB.

How much do 5" LCD 64GB storage Android phones go for these days ?

looks tempting.. shopping around for my parents who want a smart phone + tablet. Right now that would cost like $300-400 for phone and $300-500 for tablet = $600-900.

      • How much do 5" LCD 64GB storage Android phones go for these days ?

$3-400 max for a mid-top range phone if you stick in a 64gb microSD card
