  We have one. Waste of time. The ice in the centre bucket does not become cold enough to make a good slushie. We also have difficulty keeping the lid on as the mechanism jams up and the lid pops off. Even at $10, it's a waste of money.

  Had a Kmart brand and had to give it back.

  A better product that works on diet drinks is slushy magic - works well , less mess and no big machine that does not work taking up space .

  Also took the Kmart one back, bought for my 8yr old to make slushies on a hot Christmas day- ran for almost 2 hours without a single flake of ice being formed.

  bought this from myer a few years ago. sent it back the next day.

  used all the ice in my fridge + alot of rock salt and it still didnt even freeze up. not worth the effort for a slushy, and the result was just a very cold flat soft drink
  later on i found out the reason, you had to use very sugary soft drink for it to freeze up, the less sugar the harder it is for it to freeze.
