The deal is for Philips Living Color Micro, not the standard and bigger version in the link you mentioned…

    • sorry will edit

  • How's the power convert for the UK? Aren't they on a different voltage? (Or am I thinking about the US? Can't remember what the Voltage is in UK?)

    • Nope thats the US. Will have a different plug shape though so you would need a plug adaptor

    • Same voltage as AU - 230v 50hz. different plug shape though.

Same voltage/frequency, but a freaking HUGE plug!
Forsomething like this, I'd probably just chop off the plug and put on an Aussie one.

Illegal to do that with 240v/mains

That's not the case in most states; replacing the plug yourself is generally legal, but replacing the socket (or anything directly connected to the mains) isn't without using a licensed electrician.

    • All you have to do is just chop off the plug and replace with an AU one. The voltage is more or less the same, doesn't matter.

Not sure it's that simple. The right-angle power plug looks to be a standard DC connector and the specs suggest that these are 'Extra Low Voltage' devices which kinda backs that up. I'm assuming these run on a 'PlugPack' or 'Wall-Wart' type power supply that connects direct to the Power Point and although still an easy fix using a UK to AU plug adaptor it unfortunately wont be as neat & tidy as many would want :(

Just trying to get a pic of exactly what's included to clarify this…

Update: Can't find much about how these are powered sorry. Website says '3-Pin Plug' however I'm pretty sure that's just a generic box-ticking type spec page indicating that these are mains powered and that they come with a everything included. Others have mentioned Power Supplies however I can't actually find any solid info on this. I can't see how the cable in the pics could be raw 240V mains potential from the wall to the unit so I assume there must be a PlugPack type Power Supply involved somewhere meaning that a bulky ugly converter would probably be required.

        • excellent point…
A plug adapter will do the trick, but it makes the clunky UK plug even more clunky!

    Light output 50 lumen
That's a lot of money for very little light.
