Pretty good prices. The cheapest on staticice is $329: http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=2gb+gtx+670…

Shipping prices seem to be reasonable too ($7.55 shipping to 3000, $10.55 to 2000).

    • +2

Don't forget the iChill edition! Pretty hard to find good prices on it, staticice has $480.00 as the lowest.

      • sold out :(

        • +1

Annnnnd now they are back! Probably won't last long!

    • I was about to order one and shipping to sydney was $36.70. Bloody ridiculous even international shipping isnt that much.

  • If only I had the money!!! Good prices +1 especially on the Ichill

  • +9

    Great price!
I'll wait until GTX800 comes out
My 560 is doing pretty well so far

    This is pretty good…
I've done some research and 670 is as good as or sometimes better than 760…
    I'm now really tempted

    I've ordered one -_-
    Dang… Ozbargain…

    • I too have a 560 but I would upgrade to 770 for the right price.

In the words of Tyrion Lannister: And so my wait begins!

    • Waiting for the 800? That'd take a while man, the 700's have only just come out in the last 2 or 3 months.

  • +1

    Must… resist…

  • Is that possible to purchase 2 Inno3D PCIe GTX670 2GB OC iChill in one order?

    • +5

At this stage with the very limited stock we have, we are limiting this cards to 1 of each model per customer. Some customers have attempted registering multiple accounts with different names but the same billing/delivery address and paying from the same PayPal account. To be fair to other customers we will be cancelling and refunding these customers surplus orders.

setting the frame rate to 30 FPS. Why? The eye cannot see more frames than that

      What

    • +4

The eye can't see more than 30fps? That's a complete and utter myth.

You really need to read these articles.

      http://www.significant-bits.com/framerates-do-matter

      http://www.100fps.com/how_many_frames_can_humans_see.htm

    • +3

You should have a read of this: http://www.100fps.com/how_many_frames_can_humans_see.htm

The human eye can notice frames that are a lot faster than 30fps.

      Edit: Beaten…

    • +2

I believe you''ll find that 30fps is the minimum the eye requires to perceive something as smooth motion.

      • +2

Actually it can perceive smooth motion at less than 30fps. Case in point: movies are 24 fps.

      • +1

Indeed. Its also the reason many newer TVs look 'unnatural' as they use a frame-insertion software to add extra frames, which can actually be more tiring than regular displays.

        http://hdguru.com/beware-of-phony-lcd-hdtv-refresh-rates/

    • -1

Smooth is achieved with 1 frame only. A still picture. 2 or more frames introduces a degree of motion blur.

So, really the higher the framerate the more problems you are going to have to deal with.

  • To quad-SLI or not to quad-SLI

    • +4

Given you can only buy one of these, I'm guessing not.

      • +1

        Limit is one per address.
So feel free to use my address! ;)

Was about to pick up IChill but $28 shipping to 6000.
That was enough to dampen my initial enthusiasm. How's about free shipping evatech?

    • +6

      Hi Hoondaboy,

Sorry, with clearance prices like this we are already making no money on the order. It costs us $28 to ship your order from Melbourne to Perth via courier unfortunately.

    • +2

A luxury for a bargain price is still a bargain.

      • -3

        lololol

  • Can we mix different brands for SLI setup? Eg the above models with my gigabyte 2gb windforce 670gtx ?

    • Why not?

    • Yeah I think you can.

    • -1

I wouldn't do that. They could have different firmware/BIOS, different clockspeeds, different voltages, different PCBs, etc.

If one card is even slightly faster than the other or has lower latencies due to better memory bandwidth than it could be playing catch-up with the slower card which will result in a lot of buffering and stuttering.

It really depends on how divergent the card in question is from the reference NVidia design.

If your main goal is unadulterated performance you need them to be identical; the only exception being certain Radeons that be run in CF across different models within the same generation: http://sites.amd.com/PublishingImages/Public/Graphic_Illustr…

      • So does that mean we can still set the slower card as primary one and still run the mix in SLI?

        • +1

          http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/sli/faq#c16

The primary display adapter will be the one the monitor is connected to.

You can mix and match cards from different vendors but it just opens up the possibility that you will run into stability and performance issues due to the cards not processing calculations at exactly the same speeds and sending data to the monitor at exactly the same latency.

The delay along the PCI bridge between two identical GPUs in a multi-GPU setup is already significant enough to cause the widely known issue of micro-stuttering amongst SLI and CF gamers (even amongst the top-tier cards); if you then add on top of two cards that are performing at different levels (even minutely different), you're going to get some noticeable stuttering I'd wager.

  • damn I did a fencer sitter at the shopping cart and missed the boat :(

    PS4 or this. Ugh, decisions!

    • +7

PC & Steam sales prices vs PS4 & retail game prices?

Easy decision for us! But then again we might be a little bias.

    • Bootlegging pc games vs homebrewing a ps4.

Choose based on exclusives and what your friends will be playing on.

  • Just realized it states Stock allocated on payment only, Rep i took the pick up option on the ICHILL and pay when i pick up as i didn't realize payment to be made, hence was in a rush to purchase. Can this still be allocated to me as i will pick up ASAP.

    Hi there Rep,

    Any special offers on GTX680?

    Thanks in advance.

      Hi ACTGBilly,

Unfortunately not at this stage, looks like most distributors didn't keep enough stock on hand to warrant a clearance sale like this one today.

      • Thanks for the reply.
