Just did a quick comparison of QT Surfers Paradise for a week in November:
Direct with GHA - $1288
Wotif - $1610
Hotel Club - $1610
I haven't found any destination with greater than 30% discount — not sure where GHA is suggesting that 40% discount is available.
Still CRAZY expensive.
Much cheaper just to book at those hotels using agoda, bookings.com, hotels.com etc.

At what point do you see the discount applied? The places I've looked at seem to be just 'best rate', with no mention of a discount, and the ones that feature 'a package' on the sale page say nothing about the package extras once you get to the booking page.
What's the story?
