As a couple you can book 2 of these tours and get double the points. Almost 50k

    • How so? Unless you mean for a trip that's over $999, I don't get how that would work for this $888 deal.

Also, for the $888 price listed, as with other trips, it is per-person based on twin-share, i.e. you need to book with your partner, otherwise you need to book for a single person cost which is $500 extra in this case…

i just did my own tour of japan (with Mrs Wiadro)

1- we bumped into them in Nara (deer park) with Karen complaining she been on a bus for 3 hours and only had 1 hr to see Nara and the deer.
2- The other was in Kyoto at the old Starbucks, complaining there were too many people around (it wasn't even busy), and she couldn't get a coffee because there were so many people around.

both groups looked like the husbands got forced to come with their specific karen female partner.

        • Hahaha! I wonder if this would be all tours.

I wouldnt know where to start with doing my own tour for Japan. Although, i have heard it is quite safe and relatively easy to do your own thing. I think having a tour guide with some things would be helpful however

@kimba88: It used to be a bit harder to get around 10 years ago, but after Japan modernised for the Olympics, it is incredibly easy to get around the main tourist Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka route with English signage and the sort everywhere.

If you don't mind doing a bit of research for an itinerary (see the JapanTravel subreddit for tips and examples), it can be very rewarding. Plus you'll never need to be hurried along because a tour wants you in and out as fast as possible.

            • @hybir: Thanks for that. I appreciate the tip! :-)

  • Is it possible to book a tour for 2 adults and a child?

In my experience, these people have excellent sales tactics. They respond quickly, answer all your questions, and are very eager to take your money.

Once that's done, good luck getting in touch. Their emails are 'do not reply'. You're looking at about an hours wait over telephone. You have to log a ticket via an online portal and wait for someone to respond, which takes daaaaays.

All I wanted was evidence of hotel booking for a visa application, but nope, they wouldn't/couldn't provide.
