How difficult is it to use VMWare. Lol

    • +5

Easy to use; hard to master.

    • +5

If you are thinking of just VMware Workstation, sure, it's pretty easy. But the server and cloud stuff (ESXi, vSphere, etc) are quite complex.

i love this sort of guys, keeps people like me in profitable business, because we are forever fixing all the sh1t you people broke. lol.

  • anyone know the exam price?

  • i dont think its as simple as 'take udemy type course, pay $125, pass exam, get cert'

  • After registering (name, email and country) it goes back to main screen after thanking. Am i missing something?

    • Note: All VMware Certification exams require prior VMware authorization
      Found here - http://www.pearsonvue.com/vmware/schedule/
Inside that portal, will show similar to below (if you register via the form)
      Pre-approved Exams
      VCAC510: VCA-Cloud

  • Exam fees are around $300 mark for VCP5. I took my exam in Feb and got a free licence for Workstation 8.

Have got 2 as i took VCP4 exam last year in october.

Anyone wants the licences (For a small fee :-))

    This is not VCP

  • The link in OP is just newsletter signup with promo code at the top…

You have to pick one of the VCA courses here and apply code on rego:

  • 50% off what?? Why is there no prices listed anywhere in this thread?

      • Still cannot see any pricing details there either…

      • VCAC510: VCA-Cloud - $120 (after 50% off)

        • Ok, I think I have mis-read the post.
Is it 50% off the exam fee only. So the free training is online??

        • yupp

  • Still not getting where to go. Please someone explain step by step process.

    • It can be bit complex but simple too if you follow one link after another.
Start from the link provided with my OP.

  • Are these exams online, or do I have to go somewhere?

    • There are some web-based (or may be all of them) but better to go somewhere :)

  • +1

Bought all three of them for $300 ;-)

    • you know that to get vcp you still need to go for the course right?

      • Yes, but this is not VCP

        • -1

correct. what i am clarifying is people who think getting VCA as a path to VCP (without attending the VCP course)… which isn't the case.

you can save that $100 VCA exam voucher, go for the VCP course and take the exam instead and be more recognised with a VCP.

        • VCA will give you the kick start to VCP, attend the course go for the exam, good luck mate.

        • guess how people got their VCPs before vmware invented VCAs?
          lol.

but hey, all the best. :)

Looks like fishing to me, the website is vmwareevents.com and site index link from the bottom of the page points to the original vmware.com
If you try to open www.vmwareevents.com you will get a blank page.

Thanks but I will pass this one.

    • Please do not try to start a scare campaign.
This is 100% legit and provided direct from VMware.

      • I am not trying to start anything .. it's just my opinion.

This is 100% legit and provided direct from VMware.

        Can you prove that?

Is it OK if I ask you how did you find this offer? I am just curious ..

        • Curiosity is good, I was signed up for special offers as I had done courses with them in past. I got the offer via email and thought to share with all.
