You can bargain it down easily. I picked up my play 5 + Bridge for $480 two months before from HN in QV Melbourne (that was before the price increase though). Still I feel you could bring it down to $500
Forget retail prices and faux discounts. I bought my Play:5 for $470 + Bridge for $50 from JB HiFi in Jan 2012 without much hassle.
