      • HELP!!!!

      • +2

        Nope, we're fine

        BIG MAC VOUCHER LIMIT

Only one (1) Big Mac Voucher can be redeemed in one (1) single transaction

Bit confusing, but we're not being left out

        • +5

Actually, it's not McDonalds doing that anyway, it's South Australia. South Australia has laws about promotions and lotteries and prizes that are notably different to most of the rest of the country, so when someone like McDonalds does a promotion like this, they have to jump through some extra hoops to make it legal in South Australia. Many promoters put it in the too hard basket and don't bother with SA, others, like Macca's in this case, put in the effort to make it work.

        • Should we be blaming Nick Xenophon for that?

        • Not sure if serious. SA gained its powerful consumer protections under Don Dunstan back in the 1970s.

Can you ban me now OzBargain?

        • LITERALLY Mardi Gras

        • Free breakfast mcmuffins? Can I get a link?

  • +1

It says you can also get a free big mac for uploading a video!

    • +9

Someone upload an ozbargain chant and we'll all vote for it…

      • No need too, its the number 1 result on Google search for "bigmacchant.com".

    • I like the idea of voting for some terribly nerdy kids better.

  • Done and done - Thx Op!

  • Done x 4. Thanks for the big Macs!

  • Great find OP! Much appreciated!

  • +3

Printing in Firefox may or may NOT work. I call it destiny and hear my heart arteries breathe a sigh of relief.

  • Hah I tried to print it but it didn't work and now I can't get the voucher back!

    • I've had that happen before with a voucher :P I hit cancel to change some settings and lost it haha.
      At least maccas have a phone number +61 02 9875 7100

    • Look in history for the web address that starts with "bigmacchant.com/voucher/" and open it. You can open it on your mobile and redeem it in store also.

  • +7

I dont know if can bring myself to vote for any of those piss-poor chants… :O

  • Guys, the expiry of my vouchers is 21st August. Fyi

    • mine was the 22nd. must be based on the date you vote :)

  • Does it need to be made with any other purchase?

Don't want to drive to Maccas and then be forced to buy something haha.

    • +1

      No :)

    • Not even fries for $1. Mmm… ;-)

  • -4

really! VOUCHER only available for a few days!!! 18/8 to 21/8
    SIGH

    • I think you can get new ones each week. The competition there's a weekly winner, so I'm assuming new weekly vouchers.

    • +3

From memory it is valid for 3 days after you receive the voucher.

  • Thx OP… I just saved 3 via PDF redirect and will print them for free at work ..
However when I print it the voucher comes as been redeemed on the website ..

  • +1

    • go back and try it again!

      • +2

nah, best to stay of that junk anyawys,.. but story of my life couldnt get laid in a whore house with a $100 bill

        • +1

          …wat

  • Do you need a proof of age or ID when getting the Big Mac?

    • +16

Yes you do. The food is so hazardous that they'll only serve over 18s.

  • +6

Compared to Dominos & HJs, McDonalds have been a very stingy company for the last 15 years, no vouchers, no codes… Even Subway sometimes has specials.

  • +4

Just went. They were like uhhh what at first, but a swipe later and I had a big mac in hand. No id check or anything.

    • +3

Was it really a "Big" mac, or a medium-small sized mac? The last time i had one it was seriously smaller then how I remember they used to be. Are they just trying to trick us into thinking this size is ok?

  • The code I got is different when I voted and it's to be used via a phone, not sure if they'd accept printed vouchers. I'm sure someone will advise either way. The email has the link to the voucher/app

  • Funny. After seeing the ad on TV but not catching the website, tried Googling various combinations of Big Mac/chant/McDonald's/win etc. Nothing. Doesn't even show up under a search for "bigmacchant.com". Must be too new or sumthin.

  • +23

All the videos were not very good….in the end I went for the one with the biggest breasts.

    • +6

That's gonna be my policy on everything from now on.

      • +3

That's gonna make voting in the federal election near to impossible.

    • +3

Somebody should made an ozbargain one we can all vote for that one :)

    • Let me guess you voted the video featuring the woman with the red top?

    • Her breasts are probably big from eating too many Big Macs.

    • +1

Who says it was a woman? If it was a regular McDonalds patron…..

  • +1

NOT VALID AT MCDONALD'S MAROOCHYDORE, QLD!

    • Why?

      • I have NFI. I'd like to know too!

        • Staff probably haven't been told about it so its the usual answer these days "NO". Some people just enjoy misusing their power.

  • +1

Man these videos are woeful smh

  • Walked 5min from home to local Maccas, showed the voucher on phone.
Staff member said not to swipe it, so I can use it again, and again… (for 3 days) ;0
Think she could not be bothered entering code. Certainly knew of deal, & were signs up promoting it.
    No purchase necessary.
    Thanks OP!

    • my friend works at maccas, they can't put in codes in the system. they use a button to make things free when you show them vouchers. for VIC, that is.

    • +1

      Broden Unplugged.

      • +3

Yep, I just saw seven of them on eBay.

  • Anyone know if we can show them through the drive through?

    • Yes. Please notify crew at Drive-Thru.

  • Cheers OP

  • Did anyone try to redeem a printed one?

    • Yep, no luck at Mcdonald's Maroochydore. 'Sorry, it's not valid at this store'

    • Yes, we redeemed a printed one yesterday at Cranbourne, Victoria. No problem there; manager just nodded approval to the check out guy after reading it. The voucher prints your Facebook name.

    • The manager at the Kings Cross McDonald's said they can't scan the printout ones… :(

  • +1

I just used at my local Maccas, no issues. Smart marketing by them because I wasn't planning on having maccas for dinner, but since i was there i ordered an extra burger & chips and a mcflurry. Speaking of which, has anybody tried the new Oreo McFlurry they have brought back? I just had it and it sucks, nothing like the old Oreo McFlurry which was great.

    • For some reason I like maccas soft serve and choc/straw erry Sunday a lot esp with apple pie. But I don't like the Oreo Mc Flurry as much as I really like the Oreo strom icecream with extra Oreo from Hungry Jacks, maybe because of the extra creamy taste. :)

    • Yes my son liked the pre-dinner snack too. Sorry don't know about the McFlurries but I also bought myself an apple pie ($1) while I was there. Some things never change and they are about the only thing I like about Maccas.

  • Expiry on 21Aug so only 3 days to use.

  • Great deal thanks

  • QUESTION
Do Maccas enter the unique code into their system, if i give them a print out???

    • +1

We took a voucher to Maccas Cranbourne yesterday and after the manager looked at it he just nodded approval to the check out guy. I don't think they bother with inputting the codes but they probably file them alphabetically to keep an eye out for anyone trying to cheat the system with excess copies. The voucher prints your name as it appears on your Facebook page so I imagine if your name keeps reappearing something sus is happening.

  • -3

Time to make my own voucher, anyone want to help me test them? :D

  • +2

Worked with printout through drive thru at Kingsway WA

    • Also worked with printout at Cranbourne, Victoria.

  • +3

Can we replace BEEF patties by Chicken OR Veggie?

    • Maccas doesn't do veggie patties. Chicken you'll be able to do but it will cost money. At Maccas you can change the ingredients of any order but everything has a set price. So you can take off the beef and add chicken but it will probably cost a couple bucks per patty or something. Won't be free.

Of course if you can't eat beef you can just have a big mac without the meat for free I'm sure.

  • Be warned, very hard to use a print out, had to argue for a long time with manager who kept saying you need to submit a chant there in the store to get a burger. Then some others came in with it on their phone and got the burgers instantly.

    • +7

DO IT! Because the terms and conditions state you can't film in their store or any of their staff. Do it and the manager will get the boot! Record them telling you to do it!

    • Tried the print out today at Melbourne Bourke Street mall, they put it through with no issues I didn't even need to show my ID.

  • +1

Got 1 in Ballarat. Just showed the voucher on mobile and slided it.
    Thanks kendoggs.
