  • Are the MoH or Battlefield 3 campaigns any fun?

    • +3

      no

    • +3

but you will multiplayer your ass off

      • If you can find someone to play them with.

        • +2

          BF3 no probs

    • +3

I liked them both. BF3 was great. Don't quote me - but I think Tom Clancy wrote the single player campagin, or it was based on one of his books, or something. Either way IMO it's bloody awesome.

MoH is good if you like realistic / semi-historically accurate war history type games. i.e. right now I'm playing a mission fighting an Islamic Filipino group. The game itself is whatever, depends on what's important to you.

    • They're both pretty fun, multiplayer is where it's at though. I actually really enjoyed the MoH (2010) campaign, Warfighter is the one you want to avoid.

    • Battlefield is OK, but not why you'd buy the game, which is for multiplayer.
      Graphics are nice.

      Great find!

I think I'm more attracted to Humble Bundles than women now

    • +13

It's okay the women are probably more attracted to it than you too.

      • +6

Too right. The wife and I just sit in bed at night playing with our humble bundles.

        • -1

          I'm an idoit.

  • worth the dollar for sure, already had battlefield 3 from the simcity fiasco

  • Separate keys each game?

  • Crapola. I remember going through a few hoops just to purchase the sims for $5 a few weeks ago. :(

    • relax, if you buy and add it to your account you get 2 copies of the game on your account (if you activated the other one

  • +1

Lol.. I just bought mirrors edge for $8…

    • +8

      BURNED! LOL

  • +3

Guys make sure you throw money at this as your charity donation for the year, this is a great deal and the best way to show support is to upp the donation amount

  • Origin cdkey rego service down

    :<

    edit:

Seems the web version still works https://www.origin.com/us/account

  • Thanks! Average currently around $4.64

  • Yeah origin cant handle cd key registrations, EA wonder why we go with steam over their shiz…

  • +1

    Whoa.

EDIT: Shame I can't get the activation to work through Origin, nor even access my account page on the Origin site.

  • +3

Wow, this must be one of the best value bundles ever. I have no idea how they can afford this… Yet all my money went to charity. Either way…

    WINNING!

    • +1

I have no idea how they can afford this

Costs for handing out keys is almost 0. The paypal fees are their only real expense.

      • +1

Hosting the site, increased traffic, programming the site, maintenance, paypal fees, taxes….I'm sure the cost for handing out keys is not almost 0.

        • -1

Compared to the $1 minimum purchase cost, it is.

        • Actually, no at this scale, it IS pretty close to zero.

        • +3

Shhh don't try facts! This is the internet!

        • It's about the "average" price, not minimum price. Yes a lot only pay $1 for games, but in average it's about $5 for each one, so they still somehow make a profit out of it.

        • Well considering the default is a 20% tip to Humble, and majority of people probably leave the defaults (I know I do), humble has probably made around $600,000 (Currently at $5+ mil total) so far!

More than enough to cover their costs I would have thought!

    • +5

It is a marketing venture. EA want more people on Origin - they're probably not happy with their user base compared to Steam.

EA can spend money on adverts on web pages and on tv, or they can spend money on servicing this humble bundle. Evidently somebody decided this will get as many new people onto Origin as traditional advertising would.

The charity makes them seem like good guys and I have no doubt that some of them are, but I'm equally sure that it's part of the strategy too - improving the company image.

      • +1

While I hate Origin, I'm all for some competition for Steam. Even better, if these companies can branch into other kinds of content there will be competition for iTunes, netflix, google, whatever…

        • I'll be more happy with uplay and origin if i get a better system to backup those games! I have a 3tb HDD (Dickies $109 deal) for backing up steam games, love to add my orgin and uplay aswell. Hate re-downloading BF3!!

        • There is an option in the settings that allows you to keep the downloaded installer/files after the product has been installed.

        • yeah but if you installed them before that feature was available your out of luck.
P.S in steam i just backup the steamapps folder directly. Much easier

        • I use the copy and paste method. Just copy the game files to your backup manually and remove the game yourself. Whenever you want to play it just copy it back in, go to Origin, install the few updates and you're set.

  • Great deal. I was just about to buy some of these games too.

    .

    • Ummmm, what does The Last of Us at Fishpond.com.au have to do with the humble bundle?

      • Posted in wrong window.

        • +7

          so you aren't the messiah?

  • +1

Mine's stuck at "Waiting for Paypal…". Transaction definitely went through.

    • Check your email, mine was stuck at waiting but email had already came through

    • +1

Mine is stuck there… not going anywhere. I have emailed them and we will see what happens.

      • Check your emails.. mine came through as soon as I was redirected to humble's website.

        • No email. Been 25 minutes.

        • +1

Same here, nearly 40mins now and no email (although I have the Paypal receipt email)

        • I paid through Google and it's been over 30 minutes… Nothing's arrived for me yet.

        • That happened to me as well. I've emailed humble bundle to let them know my paypal receipt has gone through. waiting for the reply now.. not overly happy about that, but hopefully it all works out well.

        • maybe they run out of cdkeys :S

        • Mine just went through. Patience is a virtue I guess. :)

        • The Humble Bundle email eventually came through. So all is well…

        • Mine just came through as well. I emailed support my transaction ID so not sure if that helped or not.

        • I didn't email them. I think it's just taking a while to process…

    • Mine stuck, opened another window and went to account. It was sitting under origin bundle :)

  • origin sucks cant redeem dead space 3

    • +2

Wait, dude. Their servers are melting, as you'd expect. Give them an hour or two for all the Americans to go to bed then try again.

  • +2

I just purchased the bundle. Paypal payment went through then the humble bundle site crashed. I have no email or keys in my account, but ive paid. What can i do?

    • +1

ive sent and email to [email protected] with an attachment of my paypal transaction. no reply yet. will update when i get one.

      • This also happened to me.

EDIT: Order just went through. So if it happens, just wait 35 minutes.

      • +2

Just received an email saying my order is ready. keys now showing. About 1hr from purchase.

    • -1

      cry

  • +5

hmm me too, I have paid, but it doesnt show in my library nor I received an email from humblebundle. Normally it's instant.

    • +1

Now news is spreading they are probably just being hit hard. I got mine @ 7am straight away. If PayPal has gone through I would just wait.. it's probably being generated..

  • thanks

  • Awesome deal, thanks op. Purchased.

  • Origin seems dodgy, I guess I will be happy with just Steam ones. Thanks for sharing

    • Haha, right you are sir! I try to avoid it like the plague. I rarely play EA games now cause I just CBF using origin. I don't know anyone who likes origin.

The one good things about it is, ORDINARLY, the server load must be rock bottom low 'cause I get 2MB/s transfer rates. Steam tops out at 1.3 on a good day.

    • Origin is no big deal. Downloads games, then stays out of your way.

      • Origin is no big deal

EXACTLY! Why reinvent the wheel when there is a perfectly reasonable system in place already ie Steam. If it was in some way was better, or included new features then sure, yay for Origin.

  • Purchased this morning with no issues (Except the "waiting for Paypal" message..).

    Great bundle!!

  • Lol, a great bundle like this can overload their servers and it has.

    Good deal OP

  • its gotta beat the colgate deal

  • While yes, this is a fantastic deal, remember that a lot of these games have micro-transactions or loads of DLC to go with it. That's how EA make their money back in the end.
Before you downvote me, please know that I'm not having a go at EA. Just pointing it out. I bought this deal and paid considerably more than the recommended amount.

    • A true ozbargainer would of waited until now to buy those games, and not paid the silly $100 for it at release (or w/e it was then).

    • +2

They are a business, and they have to make money. No one should have an issue with that. What we OZBargainers are about are bargains.

  • +2

See Mrs kirt…switching to pc gaming was a great idea :D

  • I had to rub my eyes when i saw this deal, couldn't believe it! Best from Humble yet.

  • Am I blind, or is the Pay with Paypal button missing at the moment? I got have:

    1. Pay with Credit Card
    2. Pay Now with Amazon
    3. Buy with Google
    4. or Buy with Bitcoin

    ???

    • Yeah same…

    • Yep.. damn! Must be broken :(
      Edit: Aaannnd it's BACK! :)

    • Back now :)

    • Why not use Google? Easier, faster, more reliable.

  • Server side having trouble processing my credit card, will try it again tonight hopefully it's not as busy.

    • I just successfully paid via Paypal. Also who knows if tonight they've run out of product keys. This bundle seems to be very popular at the moment as they've already sold over 457,000 bundles. You're better off buying now rather than later.

  • +1

I paid via mobile, everything went smoothly. Give it a try guys :)

    • Really? I was just about to buy it too :/

      • +4

I bought mine 2 minutes ago…got both sets of keys.

      • +2

        not true.
        just purchased have origin/Steam.

        steam keys
        Dead Space Steam Key
Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box Steam Key
Crysis 2 Maximum Edition Steam Key
        Medal of Honor Steam Key
        Mirror's Edge Steam Key

noticed you also can download the following soundtracks!!!! (if they're your thing)
        MP3/FLAC
        Battlefield 3 Soundtrack
        Electronic Arts
        Sims 3 Soundtrack
        Electronic Arts

  • +1

Wow i was thinking of paying $40 for Battlefield 3 today now i get it for $4.70 USD with all these other games thrown in. Ripper bundle.

  • -1

Unless the one key works on Steam as well I only got one set of keys

    • There's another tab on the key page for steam keys….

Possible you paid less than $1? Then you probably don't get steam keys (that's what usually happens)

  • I think I didn't pay enough true Ozbargainer. Meant to pay a $1 minimum per key.

  • Amazing value.. well done to EA too for donating to charity.

  • Couldn't resist and bought it.

  • What's the cheapest to get both keys $6 or $8 might have to try again, get some for the kids
